  1. well i was going to get the CGC for Rhinna but I was told i cant now cause she is slightly DA. I was going to hire a trainer to come here but after talking with her im a tad unsure about her. I explained Rhinna knows sit, stay, down..the basics. I said i'd prefer them done here(as she offers to come to the home). She said she'd prefer to work with Rhinna around other dogs, that "Pits can be trained not to be DA" that it would be best for her. I DO NOT think it would be best for her. She would be all tense the entire training session. What are everyone's opinions on this.

I've only had her a week but I can pick up on her body signals already when she is tensed.

She is excellent already. Any suggestions on what i could do with her? since I guess I cant get the CGC for her?

Enjoy your dog for what she is. A good dog. YOUR obedient companion. Don't waste your time and money on someone trying to mold YOUR dog to fit their standards. She pleases you. That's what really matters. That she can't get her
CGC shouldn't be any skin off your nose. Just my opinion.

  5. True. I just worry about these new neighbors they went and told my landlord my dog attacked theirs when in reality all Rhinna did was snap at the stupid mutt when they let it jump at us(they dont know the meaning of control your dog nor do they understand take dog for walk, as now I go outside and they are letting it relieve itself on the sidewalk in front of the house, how hard is it to walk your dog...please she best not use the excuse well i have kids...i push a double stroller and walk MY dog and clean up after my dog.) Okay rant over...until the next time they do something dumb. Is it wrong that im hoping that one of the other at large dogs eat theirs?

  6. Strangers? HA tell her that, she is shoved up my butt..i go to the bathroom she must follow me in ther as well, I go to bed she comes upstairs and stays on the bed and doesnt move from her spot till morning...she has attached her self to me! She is my velcro dog.

Well with all due respect u are, it isnt the same as raising a pup up from 8 weeks old, you cant tell me you know this dog well enough already to be able to predict what she would do in most situations that u would have her in. but you love her and she loves you thats all that matters like was posted before treat like what she is a good dog and dont worry about the CGC u know what u have and thats all that matters

The CGC only requires that the dog not act like an ass when in the presence of another dog, which is completely achievable with a small amount of training.

You can't "train out" aggression, but you can manage it and teach the dog to focus it's energy elsewhere.

  9. i know im just saying u want to convince her of that...lol
