Yea been foolin with em since i was a kid. I just learned about dogs from all the wrong people until a few years back when i actually met someone who knew what they were talkin bout. I'm just not likin the blue stuff in his ped. The little male I can get only weighs 35 pounds and is bred tight on his dams side its just his sire's side i'm worried bout. Don't get me wrong his sire is hard working dog no complaints about him

  4. Is the same person that you say knows what they are talking about the same one that made this breeding ? Its funny that you always see to winners bred together weather it be OTC or in a 4x4 somewhere in the world with the same last name and aint nobody ever heard of the 2 dogs or that 1 person > Kinda makes you want to grab your own chin and scratch it with your pointing finger LOL! Not to say that those to hounds never acomplished anything but my $ would be riding on that the only thing those 2 hounds got even checked with was some cow hides just to keep it real . I am asuming that you want to weight pull or enter this dog if you get it into comformation shows ??

terryG, if I were you I'd leave that watered down bull-jive where ever its at. It's too easy to get the real un-diluted deal. Too many people settle for any piece of junk somebody tries to sell them. Don't settle. If you want a "real bulldog" do your research and get a "real bulldog" or a pup off of 2 "real bulldogs". Its your money, but if it was mine I'd spend it more wisely. It takes 2 halves to make a whole. And there are plenty of people with the "good stuff" still living and breathing on their yard.;) Best of luck to you though friend.

    Terryg,
believe in what you see, not what you are told.
"Dog makes the papers, papers don't make the dog!"

There is only way to know if that dog can hunt and that is to hunt him!

    Re: Opinions on this dog

    LOL why is that?:)

From what I use to see some of the OTC were better then conditioned.

Also that was the oldest hussle in the book.
Didn't take long to learn that one.

When you had a contender many didn't want to make it one prepared so they would call and say:
"Lets bump. I got a young one I want to see some time on."
When they got there they would try to see the shape your dog was in.
Now if you were smart you wouldn't let that happened.

    Next they would say:
"Well since I'm here and I'm going to put hard time on him, lets put a little money down, lets say 3 or 4 hundred just for fun or more if you like?"

When they pulled their dog out it was nothing but cock and ribs!
Ahhhhhhh he is right off the chain my ass!

The person would claim he is hyper and works his chain hard but you could tell by many things but mostly the feet and what condition they were in.
    How the pads looked.

So when you had a contender you kept him pre-Keep and not to far of top conditioned weight.
Keep him worked but not all the way down to top shape.

Remember it is always better to be a pound over then a pound under so you don't lose your power.

Since terryg brought the name up, dogs like Ch. Iron Bear won a lot more OTC then contracted.
    Same with Ch. Iron Bobcat.
Read the column "Beginnings with Boggs" in SDJ.
Ch. Bobcat was one of those dogs who worked himself so hard all the time, all you had to do was bring him in part of the time, close to the show date, to rest him lmao...
