I don't believe that. Maybe with some.

My dog Geachison was a legit 2xw. I never put 1xw otc or Ch on his name even though his 3rd outing he was a replacement dog for a match. Won coming right off the chain into a conditioned one in front of several highly respected people in these dogs.

I put more weight on that OTC win than I do his other 2 matches. I don't, nor does anyone who seen it, consider it to be a roll.

I agree with what Slim said, you see more from a dog pulled right of the chain than you do when one is conditioned for it.

When I was a kid that’s all we did, otc. Go grab your dog otc walk a few blocks to some guys house and let them go strait off the chain. No weights no wash and usually no money lol. Another thing we did was just grab a dog go on a casual walk and hope someone challenges you. Funny thing is I seen guys come out with all kinds of dogs to challenge. Shepards mastiffs and mongrels. All in hopes of beating the mighty Pitbull. Some would actually hold their own usually due to wight advantage. I know a guy like I’m sure most of you do who would roll his dog at the drop of a hat. Weight did not matter. He lost a good one in the living room on a whim. Those were the days.

I see no real dog men doing otc and call it a legit match. This is something rookies do especially in the hood. Low life’s have no place in the dogs. You all need to police yourselves.

If this is to what I posted, Read what I wrote again. You must have misread it.

Lol this breed is 98% low life's to 2% people with integrity. Always been that way.

I can see the point but to a degree.

Most of my first time out dogs over the years had not been fully 'checked at home'.

When I thought they would stay I put them out there the first time, usually on the cheap, with a weight and a date and the work.

Mostly because I believe in the gas tank approach. I think all of them will run out of gameness at some point. So I can't see skull dragging one just to see one get skull dragged.

I like for the first one to count.

After nearly 40 years around these dogs one of my first pieces of advice to the young and old, is to not put much faith in your fellow man/fellow dog man.

First there is money involved. Two there is pride and one-up-man-ship involved.

Any time those things are involved the worst in people will come out.

And this includes 'real dog men'.

One of the most colorful characters in these dogs was my friend Malcolm. He would tell you upfront when it came to the dogs he was going to tell you the truth and then he was going to shoot you a curve. Your job would be to distinguish between the two.

    He was not alone.

Days gone by past statue of limitations. There was action every week. If you had 10 8 was locked and loaded. You wasn't halfway with the yard letting shit rot on the chain. They would laugh at ya talking about you need 12/16 weeks to be ready and run you off. The only times a fella needed weeks was if they was hitting the road for a big one.

"OTC" is a term used wildly these days and has been for some time. I think of how long have these Bulldog's been on the chain. 6 months, 2 years, 2 weeks , ect. That is where the rubber meets the road in my opinion. I'm not referring to a in shape replacement Bulldogs that were brought out as a replacement. Honest Bulldog's did they meet in similar physical condition??? All B.S aside on a local level every since I can remember does so called ofc. Lol

In my neck of the woods 10 years ago OTC was done as BB said daily. However, if one could take there Bulldogs on a 10 mile hand walk, it normally would win OTC. 95% of the time. That's where how OTC is really OTC ??? I've known of Bulldog's running hot after 30 -45 minutes and those had lacked Gameness would stand the line.....
