A friend sent me a link to the FDA site about these medications that are going to be Vet prescription only after Jan 1 2017 --

    http://www.fda.gov/AnimalVeterinary/DevelopmentApprovalProcess/ucm482106.htm

Thought I would post it here in case anyone wants to stock up, sorry I should have done this sooner as we only have a few days left in 2016.

Apologies if this was already posted, I've not had much online time in the last few months.

Happy New Year (and more regulations…)

I guess the Big Pharma drug companies are digging there claws deeper into the vet industry since the pet business is a trillion dollar industry world wide. More and more of our freedoms being taken away were we cant even get over the counter access to certain drugs to treat common illnesses like Coccidia in our dogs and the Vets will have more control and rake in more money as they corner the market and increase the price of the drug 10 fold that was sold over the counter at a reasonable price.

When I first heard this I called my fish antibiotic vendor and asked if this would affect those meds. They said from their understanding it would not. I hope they're correct.
