My friend is from the Philippines and is a Christian. Yet he is very liberal with some of his thought processes.
I am also a Christian, but bible based. Which means that if the Bible clearly states Homosexuality is a sin and an abomination,
I don't have any need to accept it as healthy and acceptable. My friend actually spent a week last season at a boxing camp run
by Pacquiao's original trainer. You know the old saying..."hate the sin ,not the sinner." I'm working on that one.

The problem with this most of the time is that people will have that stance on things they don't partake in themselves. But try to find an excuse as to why they do other things expressly forbidden in the same Bible.

Homosexual actions are labeled an abomination in the Bible, but eating or touching pork is also called the same. But if I chastise someone for eating pork the way I would a homosexual, I'm the asshole . Even amongst "Christian's".

I just find it funny the media is talking down about what pacquiao said anything that doesn't go with there pushing of this new found homosexual acceptance they flip the script on your ass and turn you into a hate monger

That was changed when Jesus walked the earth and explained that all living creatures hooves or not can be consumed.

The no eating of pork is old testament
    ( Leviticus chapter 11)

Jesus better explains what was meant in the new testament. (Mark chapter 7 )

We are now living in TWISTED end times. Its no longer we the people but we the powers that be which include people in the supreme court, governors, senators, judges etc....that makes all the decisions for us.

Well Jesus himself said that he came to fulfill the law not to add or change. So what you are saying though is Christians only follow new testament? That was my point, if it is in the old testament and they agree it's fine, but if they disagree they find a loop hole that is completely unrelated. For instance the new testament verses used to justify eating all foods have nothing to do with eating all food. Read Matthew and you will see the verses were about the disciples refusing to even talk or "minister" to people that didn't follow dietary laws. At no point was it said that it's to eat the forbidden things, just that you weren't in the wrong by associating with those that do. It also talked about homosexuality in the old testament, is that not sin either?

It's not that bro it's just this world is tempting as it has always been. That's where forgiveness comes in place..take Peter for example he denied Christmas 3 times..does that make him not a christian? Every man sins..and there are still die hard christians that literally will die for there religion...we don't see what happen to Christians in other countries..idk if u ever heard of Richard wurmbrand but he explain how him and other christians were imprisoned for decades..some tortured and killed for not turning there back on there faith..the westernized Christian has changed but still every man sins and every man can be forgived

My child's mother has a close friend thats a homosexual and til this day she don't like me bc I tell her my beliefs.guy it's an abomination to the lord..so yes I believe at judgment day if he is still who he is. Then he will not be accepted in heaven

Well to begin with Christian means Christ like, And Jesus Christ followed the laws of the old testament. Christianity has been manufactured by men to fit particular beliefs and ideas certain groups want push onto others. That's why there is 1000 branches and offshoots, when someone doesn't want to follow all the teachings they cancel out what they don't want and start a new sub sect

Both books constantly contradict each other. I have noticed that over the years. Luckily for me I'm catholic so I'll just sin everyday and repent on my deathbed and I'm told I'll be forgiven. Lmao that's my loop hole.

And yes, I do feel homosexual behavior to be a sin. I have faith but I too am very questioning on certian things the book says. Wardog is one of the biggest Atheist I know and he makes extremely valid points when religion is brought up. At the end of the day though, I'd rather believe in something and find out I was wrong than not believe and find out I was wrong. The bible has been twisted to meet ones needs by man for as long as the books been in existence. Reading just a verse here and a verse there out of context makes twisting it's words even easier for those who do that, not meaning you CB just saying. I do it with genesis 3:16 all the time. Lol

Its just as everyone has said here...its the times we are living in. It trips me out how much and how fast this world is changing"for the bad"..but this is the generation of the fig tree..we will be the o es that will see the return of Jesus. I just try my best to make sure my house is in order...even down to the dogs, i dont do the same things with my dogs that i use to or run in the same crowd i use to with them...not because i think i'm better than anyone but because i dont do the things i use to do....

If a person believe in the bible then it shouldn't be a surprise that world is getting worser...there is a difference in believing and following..but 1 more thing is even the most devoted christian/cathilic/Baptist sin and will sin bc no man is perfect but at judgment day impersonation will not work I believe..

Lol I was only joking. I sin daily like everyone else but mortal sins are not something I am known to commit with any regularity. I don't practice catholicism even though I am baptized catholic. I go to a Christian church (nondenominational) and have always had my opinion on a man (priest) resolving my sins. As no man of the flesh can do that, only God can. I tell him my sins not some pediphile young boy ass raper. I also don't believe in only being able to partake in the breaking of bread if I have confessed my sins to a man. Jesus never turned anyone away from his table regardless of if they confessed or not. Baptism is also something I don't believe in the Catholic way as no where in the Bible were babies baptized. One chooses to follow Christianity and chooses to be baptized, it was never meant to be forced on to someone, free will and all. While I do have a pretty strong faith, I am in no way a perfect Christian, not even close. A saying I heard as a young kid always stuck with me. My flesh is weak but my faith is strong. It also does not surprise me that the world is the way it is currently. It's all talked about in the good book in very good detail, what's happened, what is happening and what is still to come.

Lol not sure how a discussion on normal flora turned into religious chatter. I'm just going with the flow.
