patts are not suppose to be to stocky they are to have a slender chest so they can squeeze down fox dens, (spanable) here is a pic of one of mine house 028.jpg

That first picture you posted reminds me a lot of my little pup.
Haha I was joking that he "must be a Patterdale" to my mom & boyfriend because he loves to dig and is always trying to burrow into the cracks of the couch and such haha. He's so cute!

Just kind of jumpin inn here , sorry but as for a small dog for your daughter Ive had pits all my life and never thought about a small dog till we ended up w a JRT for the kids. he was an awsome addition, that was years ago and he is now rip but we wont be without one again we now have a JRT bitch an ...same thing. The realy do mesh well w the bulldogs, same spirit , so you gotta watch em they think theyre ten foot tall an bullit proof .

Actually there were a few JRTs I remember you looking at, Zoe. :) I can't wait until you find the perfect match for Raven!

That was totally the first thing that came to her mind! Our friends just got an awesome little JRT and we were so jealous! lol We were going to go see one at the shelter the other day but it had some toy aggression issues so we decided to pass. I don't mind if it is directed at dogs but with Raven's immune system so shot we really need something rock solid with people as I don't know that she could take a bite without things going very wrong. :(

Exactly, who needs a man biting cur around kids anyway! That sucks though :( I know something will come along, I just hope it's soon!

Kinda of ironic (well not to those that know the breed! lol) that we have six ''vicious'' pit bulls here that are as gentle as lambs with her but we're having a hard time finding a small dog that is safe enough for an immune compromised kid! lol

Ha, I never even thought of that Zoe! Geeze

This may sound dumb (forgive me if it does) but have you and Raven ever considered a companion that she can walk that's NOT a dog?
(I know it's crazy, but people really do keep animals that aren't canine, HAHA)
I used to walk my bunny when I was a kid, we both loved it. Don't you already have a rabbit?
Ferrets are supposed to be really good pets, many people who own them walk them too.
I used to walk my rats all the time. They're A LOT like dogs in terms of character/intelligence.
    Something to consider, anyways.

Ya.. she does have a rabbit but she's kind of a bitch. She doesn't like being handled or even interacted with in any way. She just wants her food and for everyone to piss off. lol Her lop was much more affectionate but he wasn't very active at all as his health wasn't the greatest so he either wanted to sit in his shit box or cuddle on your lap. He passed away awhile ago. :(

We are really trying to steer away from any animals that needs to be in or have litter of any sort as it really bothers her lungs. We've weaned her rabbit off of litter and just put water in her litter box as it has mesh over it so she doesn't actually touch the water but sits on top of the mesh to eliminate. We are working on toilet training the cats, too so they can be litter free as well.

We actually fostered a few sets of rats awhile back and had thought more about fostering some different small animals to see if she wanted one permanently but again, it came back to the litter issue.

Honestly though, there is nothing that gets her more excited than a dog. She is truly a little dog woman. lol Even though CF kids are delicate of health, they tend to be REALLY high energy and any cardio exercises are a major necessity for them. She is having SUCH a riot with Moonshine now that's he's small, flirt poling with him, running around the yard and such, but he's just on the verge of being too much for her. Gaud... it's this stupid spleen issue that drives her the craziest as that's what we have to be so careful about in any sort of activity. A dog running her down by accident can be fatal to her if she gets hit hard enough but getting her huffing and puffing is so vital for her longevity. She's honestly a little nervous about walking a dog out and about as with her really distended belly, due the the enlarged liver and spleen, she is kind of thrown off balance and clutzy so she's worried about tripping and getting hurt or letting go of the dog. :( I don't drive so we walk EVERYWHERE and I walk damn fast, lol, so it's less the walking we are concerned about, as I'm always dragging her around town, lol, and more her taking advantage of the massive yard we have on our days off from walking, and nothing would get her off the damn video games than a dog! lol Gaud... she is out there every single bloody time I take the puppy out... if he's gotta go, she grabs her shoes and she's coming, too! She definitely wouldn't be prone to getting ''bored'' of a dog. lol

Poor little Raven. :( I truly hope that you find a perfect match for her soon!
I will keep an eye out around here too, I mean, it's not that far. ;)

Every time someone walks into the kitchen, Rudy thinks it's dinner time.

So apparently Rudy's coat is starting to get brindle patches. Or at least one, near the elbow.
Doesn't mean anything, but I thought I'd share the story of how I discovered it.
Today he ran through a fresh "Jade Pie" and when I was cleaning his paw off, I thought he got it up his leg too. But then it wouldn't come off.

I know it happens with cats, their color will change a lot as they mature, but what about dogs?
Maybe I'm just slow and I never noticed it?

That is SO weird! My girl Nyx... we got her at three... and one day not long after we had her I noticed one single brindle line on her neck under her collar. Her previous owner swears up and down it wasn't there before. She never got another one either in the ten + years we had her. Trippy! lol I regret not taking a picture of it now as she passed on a few years back. :(

Gaud.. he is really SUCH a handsome little guy. It'll be interesting to see how big he gets...

Thank you Zoe. :) I think he's pretty darn cute. Can't wait to see how he matures.
I don't think he will be all that big, compared to how big Bransen (who's 65lbs now) was at this age, he is TINY.
He's got small paws and teeth, too. We'll see! :D

Aw, Nyx. :( RIP pretty girl!

I know I can't believe I didn't notice it before.... I inspected his body for any other "tickling" but couldn't find any, so we'll see if any more spots show up. Someone mentioned that GSD pups get that, they're often solid black for the first few months but as they mature they get tan tickling on their legs. Maybe he's got some GSD in there somewhere?

Now that would be weird! I don't know.... he just looks like a little pit bull pup to me. lol There is something about his face that seems a bit patty-ish though. I'm horrible at guessing breed mixes though so I'm no doubt not much help! lol
