Pete Colby

Anyone get dogs from him? Opinions? I know what people say about Colby dogs... Just curious if anyone has dealt with him or his breedings.

 

Good friend of ours. First off he is an outstanding gentleman. Pete is really into these dogs. 4th generation. Has been around them his whole life. Call him up or email him and find out for yourself.

 

That's what I thought. But, you don't ask the company about their product.

Lol...... It sounded kind of dickish, but I didn't mean for it to. I'm on my phone waiting for my car to get worked on and wanted to be concise. But, I truly am interested in hearing about him. I searched this forum and he isn't mentioned. You would think he would be; being a Colby and all. I'll probably email him, but you should never expect unbias marks from the person talking about his dogs. Especially dogs from a family that have been breeding them for over 100 years.

WWII haha I like that... you are right about that in almost every way but this one. Colbys are honest people. They'll have answers to your questions better than anyone else. It is not like they are struggling to sell 100 pups a year. They have a couple litters a year and no shortage of people interested.

 

Pete is a class act. He gave me his contact info after Lou passed, and said give him a call anytime. I own a bitch I bought off Lou back in 2007 off of Pete's Lennox, and Lou's Roxy. I believe it was the only half brother, half sister breeding Lou did in a long time. She is an amazing bitch!!

 

WWII Rally has birds from Lou. A buddy gave me the number a couple of weeks ago but I cant remember which Colby he said it was. lol

 

I know someone who has dogs off that same breeding and they are making a name for themselves.
I'm yet to see a Colby dog I dont like. I would not concider anything the Colby family informs as bias, because they will tell where to go and who to talk to if you do not find what you want.

 

Pete's a good guy. fair and as honest as they come. not a big fan of the computer so just give him some patience with that (and the phone/texting) and he'll get back to you when he can. between his job and running the kennels, he'll even admit how busy he gets!

 

I got most of my fowl from Lou. The thing about the Colby family is thy they are brutally honest, and will answer any question you might havr. Lou and I used to talk about different crosses with the birds...and dogs for that matter. A wealth of knowledge and they don't try to sell you anything

 

Pete is a good guy, real honest guy when talking too. My partner has a pup from him, too young now but cant wait to see how he turns out.

 

Like BullDawg said, be patient if you try to contact him. He's busy with his life and there are dozens of folks busy with theirs that try and contact him all the time. My initial contact via email took him a good month to finally have time enough to get around to responding. But when he did respond, he gave me his cell phone number so we could cut to the chase. Be patient. It's worth the wait. The Colby's have my utmost respect.

 

Are the Colbys still raising fowl?
