this fellow has some interesting clips, namely his guardian breed comparisons. doesn’t claim to be an APBT expert by any stretch, but does give the breed props - at least for versatility and durability; surprised he did not mention the lack of all weather coat.

  2. Sorry mate i tuned of at "i aint got no experience with the APBT...but ide have a pack of em"

Some one with no experice and only google as there sorce really dont wanna be getting and trying to train a pack of pitbulls lol.

    Hes fucking annoying to..
and is typical of a yuetube know in all.

  3. Some of the breeds he said may have there uses in a apcolpt like the pointers he said...
    but the Doberman???
im a little baffeled at why?
good gard dogs i admit...and my sister had one years back that was very nice indeed..
but i find em more of a one person house gard more then a dog for the end of the world lol.
i do like em mate, and i aint gonna lie about that.but i dont think they should be in the top ten in this particulare situation.
and he said they were heathly???
they are not a healthy breed whatsoever.most of em only live about eight years and wobblers syndrome is shockingly high in the breed and has been for quite a long time.
my Grandad always said they were great gard dogs if they were in the right enviroment.but not suited to every thing or every one.
he said the Rotty the GSD and the Doberman all had diffrent things to offer.but he also said the GSD was the most versitie out the three.
he said this way over forty years back btw..and in this day and age ide say the Mallinos has replaced the GSD in all round health and versatilty.

I don't think I'd want the dobie either. Weakest mouths of the guarding breeds.

  5. Yes...more the type to savergly nip you to shreads lol.
they not to good in the cold either i might add.
if you wanted to collect your rent in 1890 i suppose the dog would be a good choice lol.
jokes a side...a loyel faithfull house dog to curl up on the couch yes.
but the end of the world im not so sure lol.

  6. I like the GSD in 'im am legand'.....
suppose its hard to get good one now?

The Mallios is the more modern obvoous choice ide say.

  7. i cant belive the chap never mentiond breeds that hunt???

Surely breeds what hunt would be far more importent?i no gard dogs would be importent but i dont see a need to make a list of em in a vid???

    So with that said....
what breeds would all you guys keep to hunt for your food!!!???????

Lets change this around some and make it intresting...

So lets here all your views!!!!!!!!!

A solid lurcher will take care of a lot of food needs and I’d definitely take a good Dutch shepherd/Malinois for defending myself whilst staying healthy and being long lived. I don’t think you could get a good hunting dog that is also a top protection dog.

  9. What Lurcher @Lrs???

  10. German Shepherd , or kangal

  11. I fancy a Bulldog and a Greyhound (or lurcher)
not cross the two breeds...work em as a team...

    Hard task no doubt LOL.
    But i always fancied that.
not cross em...i like em crossed.
but i think they got more to offer if you work em both together.

    If you can LOL.

Add a couple Mallios to the pack for what ever other reasons and that wiuld make a good surviel team i think...

I think i would defintly want more then one breed now i think....

If i HAD to choose one breed though ide stick with Bulldogs for hogs.

Lol I thought about big game mate but decided against it the less you’d need to stitch the dog the better. I’d probably take boat from a tree stand or something.

I’d probably say a complete traditional type mate bred from other lurchers that did the job. Collie x grey x whippet x saluki that’s what’s floating around in the veins of some of the best pot fillers.

  15. Pretty common in diffrent parts of Wales lurchers bred to that sort of blend.
the ones i see..in pysical type.seemed to take more of the Whippet genes..
ive even heard some lads refairing to them as "Welsh Whippets".....lol.

I belive The Whippet was just a small Lurcher originaly anyways..
a small Lurcher for the pot.then later on it was to be ran at the rag.
i do like Whippets.i think there great little hunters on smaller feilds.and ive seen em smash through thick cover.dispite there frail apearence, they are incredibly tough little dogs.
ide say a Whippet would catch and pull down a small Deer..say a Muntjack,or Water Deer.
i seen one years ago kill a dog fox man.
    heres what happend right....
me mate had one called Fly.(aint they called that lol.)
it had a good few rabbits by the time it was 14 mouths old.
it had never seen a fox.so me mate let a big bullcross what this loon had, run a fox yeah.he was gonna give fly ths body to rag when the fox was dead..but the bull cross was just a fake one.say a red nosed mastiff crossrd with anything that looked greyhoundy.lol...
so the fake bullcross lookes like it had killed the fox.like the fox was just lieing there with the fake standing over it.
so we moved the fake and let fly have a look.
hahahaha.lmfao..ive never seen nothing like it Lrs.
the fucking fox was not dead lol.and bit fuck out of flys face.
i thought fly would quit to be honest..but she killed that fox man.she was still shaking fuck out of it long after it was dead man.
that bullcross should have been a cull lol...
were as Fly should of been bred to every Whippet...last i heard she broke her kneck on a ditch one night some were by Lancashire.
She was a demon of a Whippet.black.un real speed.jump real high.and had a bulldog spiret lol.
    very affectionate..tracable.
very thin coat..and if you just stood around for a while she would sit down with her back arched as if she was unhappy with the cold.but she never trembled.you could tell she felt cold.but she never trembled.
she was tougher then she lookd.
She took most things man..shed even tangle with Brock lol.youed have to pull her of lol.and it was more amusing then a war lol.
hahaha... she cost my mate thrity quid.
i rember him saying it was the best thirty quid e had ever spent.
i dont think she was ever bred..while i new her she never came in heat once.
Great little pot filler with the rabbits man.shed even take a bird if she could.and i like dogs what do that.

end of the world situation and ide like her by my side for sure...
but for small game in the end of a world situation traps and snears will last longer.and you use less energy.
but there comes a time were you gonna need more then rabbits and birds.
your gonna need big game meat.
and traps and snears for that are not as effective as dogs.

    All the best.

You’d be surprised of the the damage a muntjac can do to a dogs throat mate with those fangs. I’m not to keen to put a dog onto them solo. I have done but my my heart is always in my throat lol. Traps on the other hand are extremely useful if a little cruel

david63 and Soze the killer like this.
  17. I dont dont the muntjck thing mate...
ive never seen a Whippt do that.
and i no it would be a war lol..

Traps are nasty mate im not gonna lie.
in this end of the world stuff..they will last longer then a bullet.
i could not begin to go in to the use of them on bigger game, but its not a task a single man can pull of with any regularity.lol...
there some one man armys out there..some Rambo type guys.
i can only wish i was one of them.
    Dogs for bigger game lol.
But traps and snears for smaller game are a real good tool to have..crule to some degree..but far more affective then guns.
but the catch is mate...and thats learning how to set them.
and were to get them.(i wished i would have bought a load before all this broke out)
so theres now getting hold of em issue...
but theres also learning how to use em.
theres a huge varity of traps and diffrent strands of wire..
And im not clued up on none of this watsoever.
and it would probably make good sence to learn how to make them are selfs.
    arrrr!!!..
    again.not easy lol.

And i suppose its the season to get the rod out now anyways.
thing is,sneaking around on a river banks hard enough as it is...and now every bodys running of and hiding down them.
so a spot of fishing is of lol.
i did wanna get some Eels and Brown Trout this years....
    but it seems unlikly.

  18. i really do regret not reserching the fishing side of things...
i cant even speak to my old freind who used to poach salmon.
and when we did used to talk ide always ask him more about the birds and other ground game he took through out his life.
i wished i would have asked him more about the fishing side now i think.

Wished i would of asked more and wrote it down!

Tickling is what you want to do mate if you want trout from small streams easy enough to do once you get used to it. And when you snare something bigger your not really aiming to kill it just hold it until you get there to dispatch seen it done on video as it’s highly illegal now lol but a well placed blade deals with that if you won’t use a firearm.

david63 and Soze the killer like this.
  20. Yeah im not that tough lol.

Plus most cases with big stuff is it will need driving to the device used.
Just a bit like driving somthing in to a gate net really.

    Some one and dogs drive...
you, blade,(and a good dog wont go a miss lol)wait by the runs.

    Sounds awesome now i think.
bet its a good adrenalin rush lol.
