R.i.p Mom

My dog J.R. is motherless now after she took out a dog that cost around $740. The owner told me that he went out to feed and that is when he found Kaity (the mom) paceing around and hiting the dead 8 mounth old pup. He told me that the pup must of helt up for awhile. Kaity was cut up purtty bad and had her leg broke but she was stell going at it. So i asked "why did you shoot her ?" He said that " he was warried that she would kill the neighbors little dogs that they treat as kids." But i think that it was because of the money that he had in the pup and the "plans he had". I told he that he should make the neighbors aware that he had game breed dogs to keep theirs on chains. If you have more than one game dog or just one you run the risk of something like this happening. I just couldn't believe that he shot her for doing something that was instilled in her breed for many years. She was a loveing dog. I liked her the first time i saw her. She had just had her pups two weeks befor and hes had on problem with me or my wife their playing with her pups. All in all she was a grate dog.

that sucks. She just had the pups 2 weeks ago? They shouldnt be ready to welp yet. Close to but not yet. Well, i hope they are well takin care of.

 

thats is sad, im with u hill she is a game dog thats what they do some times he didnt have to take his anger out on the dog but some times people do

 

that's terrible. sorry for your loss. hopefully they will be able to raise those pups without the momma.

 

sorry to hear about that hill,and it sounds to me like you are right he shot her because of the money he had tied up in the dog and the plans he had for the dog.because to me it just doesnt make sense why would he shoot a dog because it was a game bred dog doing what it was bred for,you should tell him that if he doesnt like the gameness to quit breeding these dogs and either go for the bluffs or to poodles or something.

 

Sorry but that guy doesn't deserve to have "game-bred" dogs. Maybe he should be SHOT for not being smart enough to know a game dog when he sees one. lol He kills it just cuz he had plans for some damn pup. lol Man I tell you, these stories get more and more sad every day.

 

Thanks for all your thoughts. Let me clear some of this up the pups were two weeks old when i first saw the pups and the mom. she was shot a few weeks ago. My dog that is from here is six mounths old. Sorry for the confusion. He is geting big and looking more and more like his mother every day. I weighed him the other day and he weighs 55 lb and the best i can tell that he is around 19 to 20 inchs tall to the frunt sholder.

 

just awfull, this guy could have put that bullet to better use and shot his damn self If you ask me.

 

19-20 inches?! 55 lbs at 6months?! That doesnt sound game breed at all. Sorry Hillbilly, but it just doesnt sound right. I am super happy that he is doing well and growing and this did not happen before the pups were welped but I dont know about the whole game portion. Sounds to me like the mother was just your average Bull Dog that did natural shit. She was dog aggressive. That is it. The man should just get out of BYBing and throw him self infront of a car.
