Ok, I've been looking but cant really find anything... how far do you walk your dog as a part of routine exercise, not a conditioning program, and how long does it take you or what speed are you walking at? Do you walk every day or do you rest a day every week?

I usually do hide work on a springpole to burn off some energy about 15 min or let them blast off on the mill....then walk em for 45min - 1hr.

    Everyday or every 2nd day!

I walk my dogs every day. One or two times, up to 1hr sometimes more.
Then some fetch or springpole if i have time for it.

I walk as much as possible, anywhere from 2-8 miles per dog. I keep them active from summer to fall, so they are all in a prekeep state from march to October.

Regular exercise I'd walk 2hrs a day, I do n hour in the morning and an hour at night; when not in keep. It also depends on the normal activity level of your dog. Some hounds are just warming up at the hour mark when walking. These dogs are naturally high-strung so I would say nothing less than an hour a day at the far least...But I also like to keep my dogs in great shape year round. When we don't walk I then substitute couple minutes of flirt, or a few games of fetch.

I try to work my dogs atleast 4 times a week, i walk them on the hunting club roads behind my house, flirt pole, spring pole, me and my fiance will throw a tennis ball back and forth to each other from about 30 feet apart and let the dog run back and forth, and other little things i try to mix it up for them as much as possible. I also keep heavy tug ropes inbetween chain spots so they can play tug o war with each other when they want.

I just recently got my butt into gear and started walking again. I've made it a goal to walk every night after work which is 4 - 5 days a week. I usually walk for an hour, at 3mph. I'm slow haha.

ya know that is some real good exercise for the dogs. My friend and I got a football and we threw it back and forth. The dogs were running from me to her and back to me again non stop going crazy for that ball. worked real well. the person i was throwing with couldnt throw farlol.. maybe i should try a tennis ball instead nextime
