Oh my dear lord... are these guys for real?

Ok, so I always watch animal-related shows, especially regarding animal welfare, because I like to see whats goin on in this country with the crazy animal rights movement. Well, Ive watched the first 2 episodes of this and Im disgusted.

These guys are nothing but terrorists to me. They harass people and take the law into their own hands. Not only that but they are ignorant! On tonights episode they actually had the nerve to say that chaining dogs makes them vicious.... dumbphucks! Ugh!

Has anybody else watched this show?

  2. I have never watched such show or even heard of it. It certainly is sad to hear public mediums spreading misinformation and misconception of the breed.

Hate that show. You should see the one were they have to rescue 3 "mean" and hungry pit bulls. They didn't even get a nip.

Ive actually met these guys in person. Seemed like nice enough guys. Hell I almost adopted a beautiful chocolate "pit bull" from them. They shot a pilot or episode or something at the tattoo shop I go to. But after seeing the commercials they must be playing tough tattooed biker for the cameras. I did not get that impression when I met em. I couldn't believe these guys just banging on peoples doors like that. These guys live in my area too. All I know is if these "tough guys" showed up at my house like that they would be greeted by my good friend mister Benelli and a "get off the property" then well see how tough they are. These guys have no right to enter your property, they are not the law, just some wanna be vigilantes. Treat them as such.

I agree with Breogan...a 12 ga will change anyones tune.

  9. Man that show is such a joke. I want to see them try that bullying down here
in Louisiana they wouldn't get to far. Those 3 pit bulls were not vicious at all as soon as they were brought out they were wagging their tales and all. Such a croc.

I know APSCA has police authority, that's what I was getting at.I meant how could anybody stand watching a show that glorifies the APSCA,I personally hate them and all the animal rights organizations.

All those shows get me going especially that whale wars show:mad: Chances are theyll sink that ship though:)

  15. For a lot of the mutts that come into the shelters they've helped keep population control with spaying and neutering, not to mention running no-kill shelters
Idk what bad experiences you guys had with the SPCA but take your constant negativity elsewhere jeez
    hate animal rights organizations?

The problem with the ASPCA is not that they care about animals. The problem is that people believe everything they say, and they decide what is cruel. Is a dog on a chain cruel? they would have you think so. Is conditioning a dog cruel? Not if Cesar Milan does it, but it makes us dog fighters. A dog in good condition for a show is not emaciated, however, they would say so.

  17. I don't think it's cruel to chain your dog, as long as he has shelter and is fed/ has water, it can be happy? Sure...
Conditioning your dog is just the same as going to the gym, but I think there is a healthy limit, BUT:
a lot of the animals they show ARE neglected, ARE taken advantage of, and majority of the owners see nothing wrong. Sure here and there they may give misleading information but the cases that they see deal with irresponsible owners chaining or conditioning their dogs in an unhealthy manor.
...I'm really curious what these cases are that you're talking about, cause at least the episodes I've seen where dogs have been seized have by no means been healthy or taken care of.

I have not watched this program.
Yet, I'd be very interested to know what "rights" animals deserve and which ones that they lack.
Especially the ones that require an organization lobbying for instatement of them.
Most "animal rights" orgs have a skewed idea of what they deem to be "unhealthy" or "poor care". They are mostly uninformed, misguided groups that usually advocate the seizure and euthanasia of animals that they deem to be "taken advantage of" or "dangerous".
Not to mention most will put a bulldog down faster than you can spell PETA.
I've got no love for such organisations or qualms about saying so.

Of course you haven't seen it. They would never show on TV the other side of the story. There are plenty of cases. All these people who have had their dogs taken away and put down before they have a fair trail. People that are known for how well they care for their dogs. Ask them about the ASPCA. Like I said they do a lot of good things, however, there are many things they do that infringe on peoples rights and are plain unconstitutional. Any one who abuses an animal is a scumbag, there we can agree. But abuse is a relative term and that's where the trouble starts. I'm so glad you found this forum. I don't want to change your views or anything, I just hope that after being here for a while you might be able to see it from others perspectives and not just what they show on Animal Planet.

  20. I hope so too, bias as it is...

I just hope I don't have to always keep my guard up when posting back and forth

Either way, it's been a helpful thread
