anybody know where i can find any shorty cowboy stuff?...and what do u think of its bloodline?

He's a ROM but there was a lot of controversy about him being bred due to him having a genetic defect called chondrodysplasia (CD). Make sure you get a non-affected pup if you get one off the Shorty blood.

wow!!!.....forreal!!!!....did know that....i had a pup of him before AMAZING DOG!!!...i named him stone cold......i am trying to find this bloodline but its hard...alot of ppl tell me to get a lukane pup and i will get over shorty bloodline but i cant because of what i seen out of shorty!!!...my friend who had the shorty bloodline has moved and i have no idea where but he use to get his dogs from mr. dyke's....never met him

Ben was referring to ABK's comment on him having CD and the possibility of it leading to another debate on breeding ethics. :p

 

there was a disscussion on here about shorty having dwarfism and the fact that it may be a trait passed on geneticly

shorty cowboy was a great dog. & the dogs behind him were great dogs as well as the men behind them. he produce great dogs who produce great dogs. so what he had "CD" snooty was a fucking cur dog & to me that's a gentic flaw but folks are high on them dogs. there's a lot of cold dogs that produce & i think that's a genitic flaw but folks don't really complain about that to much. you always get these "show folks" that bring up this bullshit about shorty cowboy dogs. but these dogs ain't show dogs there dogs of sport. i don't give a fuck if every dog on the yard has CD if they produce what shorty cowboy did. some great dogs didn't fit the confermation standard but thet fit the bulldog standard.

you say you had a pup off him in the past? how is it now you know so little about the dog now?

 

every shorty ive seen has been a small dog....they dont grow 2 be big dogs but to me thier gameness is second to none....man!!...i got so many stories on this bloodline it crazy!...i not a person to lie about anything but i have absolutley nothing bad to say about this bloodline...but i do need to find out about this "cd"...this is new to me

 

great question.....well i was young and really didnt know wat i had, i just knew i had a pitbull and the person who i got from was a breeder..as i said i was young so really didnt care to know everything about the breed...as i continue to talk with ppl and meet ppl i started to get more and more interested in the breed but soon as i was i had 2 take a "vacation" for awile...a long while and when i came back home my dogs had died, the person i purchased my dog from had moved and i heard it doesnt even breed any more....so im really back @ square one...i do know more now than i did back then....i wish i could go back and soak up all that game that old man was trying to give me...he use to tell me all the time these dogs are special only a select few have them....boy he was right!!....but to sum it up i was young and dumb!!

 

im still learning till dis day...not only on shorty's breed but on all pitbull breeds....its just shorty's my favorite

 

i thought i had found this bloodline about 6 months ago and come to find out it was wildside's cowboy.....i quickly told him that is not wat im looking for and rushed off his yard...lol
