sick to my stomach

We had this new girl start at work today.She is there to clean kannels and such.Well anyway ,I'm removing an I.V. line on a poor little pitx puppy(had a heatstroke)and this girl comes up to me and says how the pup reminds her of one of her dogs.except for the fact that her "pit bulls" are "purebred".I ask her how many she has and she says 18! she's a breeder.I say oh ,really ,what kind of blood you running?She replies bull terrier and amstaff except she doesnt even know how to pronounce American staffordshire terrier.Then she proceeds to tell me about her 90 lb stud dog (he is that huge due to the gator blood he is carrying) is extremly vicious so much so that she cant ever let him off his chain.The fucking dog was born blind!And it's her "stud" dog.Im so sick at this point I dont even try to educate her ,I just excuse myself and walk away.After trying to avoid her the rest of the morning,she comes up asks me if she needs to feed the little black and white mix puppy in the back.It took me a minute to realize she was talking about Izzy!I said no,that's my American pit bull terrier ,and dont worry about her.She then goes on to explain to me that their is no way izzy is a "pit bull".she is way too small.I completley lost it at that point and started yelling at her what moron BYB,puppy pedding scum bag she is.One of the docs comes back and difusses the situation and tells me just to go home for the rest of the day and try to calm down.They all know how I get when it comes to these dogs.Anyway ,the receptionist just called and told me that the reason I acted like that(according to the pit bull breeder )was that I'm jealous of her real Pit bulls!Anyhow the point of this post is I'm honestly considering calling A.C. on the waste of flesh.I know they will take away all but four of the dogs.I dont know should I?I hate A.C. as much as anyone but I really think in this case it it warranted.Any thoughts on what I should do?

 

It comes down to who is the lesser of the two evils. Hopefully outher members have better advice than I can give you right now. Don't worry about you flipping out on her, I would have done the same. I just love how people try to tell you about something that they know nothing about.

and as far as im concerned i wouldnt look down at you for doing what you know is best for the breed... my only problem is that i guarentee she will just go get more "pure" dogs and continue here bullshit honestly people like that in most cases will just keep doing there thing... nomatter whats right because in her mind your the idiot and shes "worlds best breeder"



ps if i read in the paper about how some byb got culled and they cant figure out who did it i wont say a word

Here,you are only allowed four dogs without a speacial license which I gurantee she doesnt have,and when A.C. does come they will usally let people pick which ones they want to keep.BUt I'm sure she would keep the breeding pair,and like you said the whole cycle would just start over again.I'ts really just a sick, sad ,situation.And as far as culling her,I wanted to hit her sooo bad ,butI knew if I did I probably wouldnt stop.Also doesnt look too good on a resume,"fired from last job for bashing someone in the head at work"LOL!

 

Everyone here at work nows how i am, as well, when it comes to this breed.

i probably would have lost it, too! anyhow, send her here=we'll set her straight!!!!

i hardly ever lose my temper, but dumb asses like that sure will to it!!!

I find it sickening too, and I have even shown the breed standards for our dogs and they STILL think they have purebreds, one jack ass said the UKC and ADBA were wrong and that they have no idea what a pitbull is. These people kill me, some people are just willingly ignorant.

 

Call AC. She's a cur factory and nothing more. What a dumb ass. I'll tell you what, give her this website and tell her alot of us want to talk to her about her "PURE BRED PITS" Lmmfao. Tell her we all want to buy some and we have questions for her. On second thought, if shes that much of a p.o.s. she probably doesnt even have a computer unless the market for curs is that high in the "A". Good luck not whippin' her ass and getting yourself in trouble...

 

I would LOVE to send her here ,but she did tell me at one point that she doesnt have the internet becasue she cant afford it.Funny you can afford to breed dogs but not have 40$ a month for the web!I did however overhear her talking to a co-worker about how her husband is in the county jail where my husband happens to work,Though about having him tell the other inmates dudes a child molester or something,let him get his ass kicked good and proper as he is the one who started their little "breeding kennel"

LMAO!! I would have lost it too and some. I ran into alot of people like that when I used to work for Banfield Pet Hospital. I would ask what the blood line was and their response is "red nose" or "gator mouth" or "tiger stripe brindle". It's kinda funny cause I said nothing about the dogs color LOL! Just be cool and try not to loose it tommorow.

Just wait until one of her "prized" dogs are staring back at her from behind the kennel doors. If that doesn't strike a chord, I don't think much of anything has a shot.

If she doesn't have the internet, she can still be educated. Her husband will need some reading material as well it sounds like-and he has the time to sit and read it. Print some good articles off, and lend a few books!

 

I have had pretty much the same situation, i was walking my dog and some one asked me if it was a "pit", i said yea its a pitbull an they said what is it mixed with i told them its a full blooded pitbull an they tryed to tell me there's no way its full blooded because how small it was for there age and how they have 2 blues that are 70+ pounds and would "litarally eat my dog", i tell you people are so ignorant these days if i had some one with me or didnt have my dog with me i would have hurt that guy but didnt want to hit him and my dog also attack thinking im in trouble an then me n my dog would be in the news for tag teaming some idiot.

 

I'm used to that stuff at work...I've just given up even trying anymore...I just walk away or completely avoid the situation

 

wll i had the same problem at work but i don't work at a vets office. win i got finished with this dumb ass they got rid of their dog and started tring to buy a pup from me. so go in and just kill with knowledge and pray that see come around. p.s if that does't work a.c is always and option.

 

The worst dog in the whole land this is and remains the betrayer. Remember always, everything what you do can come back to you. The girl is not evil, she has only no notion. If you do not have the nerves to explain to her something, you should stay away from her.

 

Please call animal control, it will only better the breed. Thank you.
