Pumpkin, 31.5 lbs full grown. Smallest I've ever owned or bred. She has a full brother that's 72lbs. He's the largest I've produced. Lol

? AGK, I've noticed some of your dogs have the black markings in the tail. Do you see this pop up often in your breeding? I think its unique, I was told by a few older dogmen that this was a Bolio trait...how do you view it...or is it the use of a black dog being bred? Just wondering..

Not AGK but I hope I am allowed to answer... I noticed the dirty colored dogs have it, including the ones with black ticking or black masks. And no, I don't think it's unique, I know a lot of dogs having black markings in the tail and they are not Bolio or just a small percentage.

I noticed they have it but never really struck me as odd or unique. Never really thought much of it. Some say a lot of things. I remember people saying a sign of an Eli dog was black speckling on the palate of the mouth. Lol I got one that is RBJB that has the trait. I just always viewed those sayings as old wives tales. I don't put too much stock in any of them. The family of dogs I have however does throw either Black dogs or red dogs with the masks consecutively. Every so often I'll get a throw back pup but it's 99% of the time a shade inbetween those 2 colors. The black hairs in with the red ones is a pretty common sight here.

Yeah your right come to think of it, its mostly the dirty red or buckskin..got a rednose with the black ticking in his tail..he has a pinch of Eli far back ...figure it comes from there, preciate that fellas..

Ok in a red/ rednosed dog I would consider it unique, too!
Colours don't matter to me so I have no clue, but normally a rednosed dog should have no black in it?
Is it black or just dark red?

It was black and faded away....I will post a picture when he was a pup...also his pups all have the same markings, tho he was bred to a black dog...

Great pics of smaller power plants in this thread. All of them.

AGK - Pumpkin is nicely conformed for small dog. With no reference point, pictured you could say she was 45lbs and I would believe it. I’m certain her ripped backend is partly due to solid genetics (dominant Geachison genes?), but how is she athletically? Endurance, sprint speed, agility and grip etc.? What physical exercises does she excel at/enjoy? Just curious.

Yea, it's a combo of her genetics and a lot of pavement time. She'll do flirtpole, springpole, many hours of walking, I haven't had her on a slat mill yet but since she will do an e-mill I'd imagine she would also run a slat if introduced to it. She'll walk or jog all day long, I usually tire out before she does. She's very athletic and fast. Don't know about her mouth.

Sometimes you gotta go a lil bigger to find out what you wanna know. You don't have to climb a mountain, maybe just walk a lil bit of a hill

Here's a frontal picture of her, maybe that will help with perspective of her size. She's no bigger than 13 or 14 inches to her withers.

I feel that. 10-15 is a bit much, ask how I know.... Ok don't ask. 5-8 is acceptable to me. I sparred and fought much bigger guys. You find out what's in your heart quick when you weigh 147-155ish in great shape and get hit by 180-220lb guys. Shit hurts even when they hold back some. I got one that's about 28 in good shape, 26ish summer thin, and maybe 30-32 fat. I would be surprised if she has ever hit 35. Pocket rocket. Scoop her up with one hand, two if she's movin kinda quick. Good luck! Great lookin lil gyp. Too bad you're not closer. I seen a couple your size around this way. 3 off the top of my head

5-8 is way to much for such a lil gyp, especially with one that hasn't had no education. With these small dogs a 1/4 or 1/2lb difference in weight is like a lb to a 40lber.
