Please enlighten me!? Is not this board hosted by game-dog.com?! Is not the majority of the topics in the APBT sections regarding the gamebred APBT?!

Why are we then debating a dog belonging to a kennel who´s owner is the chairman of his countries kennel club affiliated SBT club?! A dog that has not even seen three minutes of work?! A dog who has produced a bunch of dogs that has been showed at FCI conformation shows. And also is down from a line who has not produced a working dog in about a half century?

Not trying to start anything here, just believe there are hundreds of boards out there better suited to discuss show dogs?! If the rest of you think this is a valid topic just let me know- because then it is time for me to ditch this place...

I take it you ain't got any Sparpit blood in them dogs of yours OTR ?
Think you may have went just a tad overboard when you say how long it is since that line produced a working dog,but it's good to hear an honest opinion.

OnTheRocks, I can respect your views, but seriously speaking, is this the only thread in this forum as a total, that would make you leave? This is not a first, it happens everyday and I think it is up to the admins and moderators to manage these subjects either way they wish. I do not try to argue with you, but I feel that all members have to accept, as part of the forum, such threads, you can always ignore threads and posters.
    Have a happy Eastern Holiday

    Hi there "OnTheRocks":)
Have you got working dogs to?

The dogs that you have, do they work in something imparticular and in that case what would that activity be within?
You seem to be a knowledgable person.

I´m just trying to learn more about the breed/bloodlines and would like some good information:)
    Thanks

I have been a member on this board for many years, OTR is my second account here. We have had several good discussions concerning the Working/Irish Staffordshire Bull terrier over the years. It made me very happy when I noticed a few weeks back that the staff collected many of these topics and created a Stafford board. My happiness did not last for long. After just a couple of days the vultures gathered! Trying to promote their business in various more or less obvious ways.

Again, this site is called game-dog.com, why are we then debating dogs are not remotely bred for their gameness? Where the owner has absolutely no ambition to breed for gameness? The internet is full of places for these people to haul their goods! Can´t we at least try to keep the ambition that this board is game-dog.com?!

Sorry, not going for that one... I am not here to promote any dogs- nor do I have anything to sell. I am just here to talk genuine dogs. Thats the difference between us...

I did not know what dog charlie was, that's why i asked if he was off parrys pup stuff. my staffords are from kc stock and they are worth feedingin my opinion. I'm the first one opposed to having showshit representing the breed. peds dont dictate how your dogs are going to be but they can give you a better idea of what you getting into. everybody has their own choices when it comes to different lines, some sparpit i know of like to hunt so why not add that little spark to your program. if it doesnt work i'll try to minimize and erradicate with something else in the future, but so far i have no complaints from the old sparpit blood.

  11. The sparpit dogs look very much like our game pit bulldogs. Even how they present themselves and in expression. Outstanding specimens with great athletic ability. I also heard that they came from a working background, so they were a show n go SBT. Gameness to some degree, but not sure to what extent
