Been years since I've fed diamond... for some reason I break out in hives really bad when I feed it to the dogs. Have no idea why and it' the only brand ever to do it to me. I didn't much care for the results I was getting anyway.

The overflow bags vary. I've gotten some "junk"(low end commercial feed) feed in them. Generally each bag is 1 type of feed (may be puppy of that brand mixed with adult but same brand) besides the random few pieces. Sometimes it's covered in oil a certain brand soaks their feed in so it's obvious at looking at the stack of bags if its that. They are a bargain but the feed varies load to load. As far as bulk deals the $12 is what my local private feed store charges. Thats such a deal i havent tried to go straight to the source. The store usually has a bag or 2 of that load cut open for u to see before you buy bags too.

All in all for me it's what works. May not for everyone but I have no complaints and my dogs all look good. Yard on a budget could benefit.

I feed Kibble + Raw + Supplements and almost everyone i know in the dogs that feeds raw only still adds supplements during a keep.

Yes. The results seem to vary on Diamond.
As with most kibbles.or any diet for our 4 legged ffriends
I was about to say the same thing.
I also use raw,dog bloom, and various oils and fats also. At times to shape a dog...and at times trying to keep them thicker, some extra things really do help.

A proper raw diet is a real thing... there are % ratios of bone to meat to organ that is ideal. Everyone I know who feeds raw uses supplements in keep.

As far as the "greyhound" food it doesn't have near enough protein or fat for me. I wouodnt even consider it a daily feed let alone a keep feed (just my opinion) and the greyhound slant is just a marketing gimic

  7. I no "greyhound" food. Lol...iv been looking in to it for mouths now,and it's starting to get boring man.it really is.the only reason I was looking in to it was because I thought it would be better then every other kibble.ya no some of this food is made(manufactured) by "greyhound" people.so with that in mind I thought it might be better then buying some expensive fancy name kibble.to be honest I think most kibble's are terrible, and because of that I try to feed it only when I have to.(I do wish I could get a good one)mostly raw and cooking at the min which is a pain in the arse, but has to be done......p.s you would think with "greyhound" people being working dog people they would have developed a suitable kibble by now,but as u say just a marketing gimic.....

Soze..there was some threads on here about greyhound kibble some years back. Limey is one that I think he may have done some research and documented how it worked for him here. I found it interesting.
Also a kibble vs raw thread or two.
    Good reading for sure.

  10. Thanks.mccoypitbulls.I have had a look and it is quite interesting.I think limey's the only one who likes it lol...as for kibble v raw,I think raw wins.you no these last few days iv been reading the barf diet book.I read it years ago and it really helped... I dug it back out the cubord the other day,and its a great read..dam through my stupidity iv forgot the name of the author. It was published in Australia by a vet who was studying raw feeding for 20 years..it really is a great read.....

Yes. Red Mills. That is it.
Id tend to agree..that some grayhound men would have the best idea as to formulating a balanced kibble. I think most Grayhound races are a lap long. Over very fast.
Id tend to believe dogmen from the north..mushers...may have an edge on the diet subject also. The iditarod is a long haul and to have a dogs diet formulated based on that would make more sense to me.
One would have to Figure in geograpic locations and temperatures also know the dog bloom was designed for the latter.
