I have 28 month old prospect Redjohn. He has insane drive and destroy anything he can get his mouth on. It was suggested to me to get him a 12 inch Jolly egg. There is one in the picture of Dog of the month on game dog. I got here and through it to him. He destroyed it in a couple of hours. I took it away from him. However I'm a dumb ass, because he ground down about an 8th of an inch off his hangers. One side especially. Can they be shared back up? Just wondering if anyone has had the same or similar experience with this worldsite greatest breed. Thank you all and God bless ! Dex

Jolly egg 1XW...Redjohn teeth 1XL LMAO...I cant believe you are worried about 1/8th of an inch of teeth LOL.....A young adult dogs teeth is usually sharper then when he is older as that is just part of the wear and tear of a dogs teeth.

I've heard of people using a small electric grinder to shaping the the tips of the dogs hangers. I believe they use something to put the dog under until they where done.

Dont put those ideas into Dex's head as he is very impressionable LMAO.

    oh sharpens???
    heres where that stands imo,,,
sure you can alter your dogs teeth...

I have no idea what a dentist would do or how far they would go with that,,,
I dont know the long term effects of teeth that have been altered and wonder how grinding more of the tooth down could really help...

Now if you wanted to match your dog,,,
sure you can alter your dogs teeth if you want to cheat!!!

it states in the rules something about human tampering,,,
this includes sharpened teeth and implants...

I would worry about sealing the tooth up from decaying for the animals over all longevity
over sharpening them for momentary gain which only weakens them...

some say the flat stumps shut plumbing down which is far worse than springing a leak...

imo it would take a soft mouthed easy going dog with great bone/teeth density for the dog not to ruin there teeth
on the jolly ball as the ball is quit a bit more plastic than the teeth and surly one has to give if not both...

I seen a man scratch his dog into a jolly ball time and time again as a lazy conditioning method,,,
he started the keep with nice teeth and ended with stumps,,,
seeing the dog hit the ball seemed stupid to me but this man lived day to day...

I also seen a chewer very content with his bowling ball,,,
he seemed to not hurt his teeth on it at all as it stayed rounded and he didnt really have any where to grind them down on,,, but when he finally slobbered it enough to find two of the finger holes for his teeth to fit,,,
he would take it into his dog house and guard it like he never seen a human in his life...

it prevented him from chewing on anything else and he really wore himself down with it...

i have one of them jolly (boomer) ball , i can only let the dog have it in high grass as it is much slower there , on short grass the ball moves too fast and the dog will bust his face and teeth off it , i never let him have it to chew on , i dont know if he loves it or hates it lol but it gets him ramped up big style

1st of all has anyonr ever seen a Bulldog bite into and Destroy a 12 inch jolly egg in any amount of time? My boy chewed it to pieces in a few hours. I will post pics asap. Being that his showing career has just started I do have some concerns. He didn't break his hangers, He wore them down. Now I have been told by several Dog men they have these jolly eggs for years and still never had a Bulldog destroy it. Red John is only 28 months old 39 lbs cw.and is No Joke. He is one of those hounds that could be The next Gr Ch. Buck, ect. He has absolutely more potential than any prospect i have ever owned or seen. So I'm not just talking about some old every day common hound. He could in the right hands be like the next Gr.Ch. Kid ect. My question was honest. I'm not looking for ridiculous feedback. I realize that is going to happen on any dog site. Just looking for folks that might have experienced something similar and what they did to help correct it or just learned from it and moved own. It's not the end of the world either way.

I would have to say that dog that destroyed his teeth with the jolly ball barley out a dent in it...

I dont think saiy was aiming on offending you but just being silly as he is...

I wouldnt worry about the teeth,,,
and if you think you have a real charge you better be careful if you do,,,
as knowledgable dog men look for altered teeth and will collect a quick forfiet if they notice and in differences...

I got your 1xl as you say, that is and can be in your face. Saiy, somethings will never change. I see you're still cheer leading, I have never seen you post anything about your own Bulldogs, not even a picture , nothing. It just doesn't make any sense to me . Yet you always have something to say about everything. Do you even own a Bulldog? I really could less either way. We are still alright as every site needs a comedian ! Lol
