Under the PACT Act, a person can be prosecuted for crushing, burning, drowning, suffocating or impaling animals or sexually exploiting them. Those convicted would face federal felony charges, fines and up to seven years in prison.

^^^^^ Anyone that does the above should be beat and then beat again and thrown down a sewer.

Animal cruelty is a broad descriptive term. They can use that to mean a lot of things. I agree anyone who does this things should be punished, animal cruelty is also not having proper shelter according to law. That’s what got barrels banned here. A possible felony for a barrel house doesn’t seem like a fair trade.

Huh ... if so ... veterinarians must be lobbying. There’s a gold mine in vaccinations.

There was push in NC some years back to stop vaccinations as well as worm medicines being available to the public.

It pretty much read, if a dog has worms and you 'prescribe and administer' worm medicine you are then practicing veterinarian medicine with out a degree/license. If you are administering a medicine, such as a vaccination, you are again practicing veterinarian medicine without a license.

I want to say the article was in a NC Farm or NC horse type publication. I think I may have linked it on here some years back.

Once upon a time rabies vaccinations were available here in NC but that stopped under the same precept.

My thought process is that a small percentage of animal owners will give in and got to the vet, a larger percentage will find away to get the medicines illegally but the overwhelming percentage increase will be the amount of wormy and sickly dogs in need of medical help.

The distance between a little more money made and a lot of sickly dogs will be huge.

I don't think there's ever been a time in UK where puppy vaccinations were available without a veterinary surgeon being 'THE ONLY PERSON PERMITTED BY LAW' to give a pup it's shots.. Last time I checked the price of one inoculation for 1x puppy (parvo, para influenza, hepatitis, distemper, lepto etc) the cost was £70 which translates to around $90 US.. That's one shot for one pup = $90

Vets have been screwing us for decades in UK and very soon I'm sure it will get worse.. They brought in a new law this year stating all dogs must be micro chipped and registered, even offered bargain rate discount deals for people on welfare..

Now (supposedly) every dog in UK is chipped and registered, I see it like this... The micro chip acts like the registration plate on the family vehicle! Every car needs to have one, every car needs MOT and insurance to go out on the road.. I'll bet my stack every dog in UK will be forced 'by law' to have a health check and be fully insured within the next 10-20 years.. The finance industry been lobbying it for years! It's a licence to print money, squeeze even more profit out of the peasant class! Everyone wins except the dog owner.. Vets and insurance companies drooling over it, also gives police another reason to stop you, make sure all your dog documents in order.. See where I'm going with this?

Feck me oldguy where do you go for jabs? Don’t think I’ve ever paid more than £25. Don’t disagree with you that the rspca and the other humaniac groups via government legislation want to control and tell us how and when in all aspects of our dogs lives.

City prices, my location, vets extorting money from people trying to do right by their animals, government sanctioned drug dealers screwing the public, they should be in jail, , I despise them!

My aunt called from Tacoma Washington and wanted to tell me a story that occurred in her neighborhood. A gentlemen that owned 3 APBT’s had his family and grandchildren over after a ball game. The kids played with the dogs and being a school night they had to leave early. He asked the kids to put the dogs in their kennels so that they didn’t get hit while the family left. One of the dogs kennels wasn’t closed properly and it got loose. He and a couple neighbors looked for the dog but the area is outside of town with thousands of acres of mountainous terrain all around. The following morning police were called because a dog (his dog) had been hit by a car on a county rd a couple miles away. The animal was paralyzed but not dead. The deputy tried to move the dog and got bit. He required 2 stitches (what a pussy)!
He shot the dog which was probably the best thing but not to put it out of its misery, but rather to protect his life and the life of any bystanders. The cop told a news reporter that it was obvious to him the dog had been used as a fighting dog and was extremely dangerous even in that condition.
The owner went on the record showing pictures of the dog with his grandchildren and other neighbors, my aunt being one that adored the dog. The owner has already been ticketed with some bullshit law nobody even knew existed now the prosecutor has had the other two dogs removed and is investigating it promising to hang the poor bastard!
There’s been plenty of backfire and pissed off people. We shall see but thought you all should know. I’ll post more as I hear further
