UK Situation

What is going on with all these so called pbt's about that are advertised as Silver/Champagne colour. Just wanted to know is the colour thing an obvious case of Mixed breeding along the line (which I think it is) i.e. DDB/Mastiffs etc.
Because from the looks of it, alot of the old stuff that was simple, brindles, whites, tans and blacks.

So where did this come from?

 

I think you might have to give an example of the color, however, there is a very good breeder who advertises some of theres dog with silver in them.

 

Here you go Mac Hope it uploads! 3 chocolate and 2 'silver', parents are either tan/chocolate and the other is black, so where does the silver AND champagne come from lol.

 

Imo you answered the question yourself when you said mixed breeds,as who knows whats added to the mix these days to create the lookalike apbt, that comes in silver shades etc.

Most uk dogs aint pure but that dont mean shit if your dog is a proven

Folks want a pit but cant have won in the UK......so they rely on a sub-group of pits that were OFRN. This is because you dont get that colour in the KC reg SBT. The OFRN were a bit bigger than average pits so the were even more distinctive.

But due to supply/demand......peddlers have bred DDB and chocolate labs in SBT/pit crosses to meet that demand. Blue KC reg SBT is an example of a legal equivalent. So if you what a dog that looks the part go get a red/chocolate/silver/blue whatever.

But if you want a GAME dog, dont buy a pup.........

Ps. Many dog men in the UK are steering clear of rednoses altogether.........but a good one is a good one........and reds dont advertise their history like black ones

 

Due to demand the only ones buying into that mixed crap are those who know no better and just want the animal/s as a status symbol or to breed on. Just because an apbt has a rednose dont mean its an OFRN !!! Dogmen staying away from rednoses lol thats because there are no dogmen as its illegal to keep the apbt but if it were legal then the dogmen i knew would sure as sure keep away from them 70lb plus hunks of junk which are of origin unknown:rolleyes:

What a stupid question,you dont test a pup you let it be a pup and mature. From gamedogs come gamedogs. The breed has been bred for centuries to do lb for lb what it does best, albeit in countries where its legal to match nowadays.

 

Im sorry to be a pain.......but aint got money to burn on feed and time to waste.........so how would i get a GAME dog if i dont trust the paper and have 6 months to showtime?

The UK is over run with shit examples of the breed, I live and work in and around London and see on a daily basis morons walking around with blatent x bred mutts thinking their the bees knees with their well'ard pitbull. They aint got a clue what a real pitbull is...majority think if it aint big and red it's a crapper.

The champagne is just another new so called rare colour sales ploy...I know of a staff x that is blue and champagne brindle that gets studded out for £500 a pop constantly..a fool and their money is easily parted.

let the peddlers and there ddb crosses carry on because because they might not be impressed with the way some game dogs look they would think there mongrels not impressive enough to walk the streets but i say dont jugde a book by its cover and the person that dont want to spend money on food what else would you skip on
