I was told they make your dogs blow hot during a hog event. I tried them once and had much success. Is there any truth behind this? Just curious if I wasn't pushing my luck with the vegetables. (Broccoli, Carrots, etc.)

Greens are good for the dogs. When we fed the BARF diet, every Saturday the dogs would get a veggie/tuna slop instead of just meat, and I was very happy with the results we were having with that diet.

Healthy eating applies considerably the same between humans & dogs. The more balanced their meals are....the better shape the dog will be in....the more energy your dog will have......and a quicker recovery time from injury. Also keeps a dog more regular.

I personally believe greens are great for dogs as I have noticed when I turn a dog loose in my exercise area, they always want to eat some grass after a litter exercise.

could you please post what kind of veggies and hwat would I do to those veggies...boil, steam how would i prepare them? Thanks

    rocksteady I'll drink to that..

lightly steaming is ok... Boiling does nothing but drain veggies of their nutrients. Make sure they are cool before feeding. I also use raw

Broccolli (just the flower part..can give some dogs gas) Peas, Carrots, Cucumber (with the skin on if grown in the garden) green beans .. i'm sure theres lots of others. I usually feed the dogs what ever veggie I make for dinner or have left over.

I even use Tomato juice, banana's, apples, strawberries. (No grapes!!)
