I could never understand why anyone would ask people that they have no knowledge of, what do they think of their future breedings.you should breed for YOURSELF not what someone with( maybe) less knowledge than yourself suggests. if you have to look at pedigrees to make a breeding maybe you shouldn"t be breeding. JMO.

Look can anyone tell me about the cross never dealt with anything but redboy and carver dogs. Ive researched jeep and maverick dogs but most of the info is just f*ckin stories and sh*t. I was hoping someone with experience with these dogs would offer up some info on how they hunt,etc.

The cross can definitely work, but the individuals used in the breeding program are more important than the overal pedigree. Meaning; If the blood is there and not watered down, and you have good individuals that represent the line well performance wise, then you should expect positive results from the cross. What you do with your dog is your business, but in my humble opinion, you get out of the litter what you put into it. So if you think that the breeding will work just off the pedigree, then your lowering your chances of success by more than 25%.JMO

 

before u think about breeding those two specific dogs together and asking opinions on it shouldn't u be asking at least what are the traits of the jeep/carver cross, then having an idea of what u want that cross to bring to the mims stuff that u have AND THEN AFTER THAT. how those two specific dogs would cross and what are the possible outcomes of that breeding, then after that buddy you need to keep all of the pups to determine which ones fit what u had in mind and go from there? since this would be the first time doing this breeding. (not to mention is the mims blood thick enough by itself...) maybe you should try getting another mims dog to thicken up your pool a little and then crossing out? and always remember....

Just to be clear I have not decided to breed them she is only 7mnths old Ive never bred a female under 2yrs of age so we will see if she is what Im looking for.
