All you need is one of those huge plastic flower pot containers for the mold, that you can buy at walmart or any other place that sells plant supplies.

You can also leave the stainless steel bowls in the mold if you want to.

Leaving the stainless steel bowl. Would damn sure be the easiest and fastest eat for cleaning. The concrete bowls we have now kinda suck. You gotta use the pressure washer or steel wire brush to clean them.

Did you use a sealer on them or are they just straight concrete?

i tried using the planter but the bowl i used was to big for the planter so i used a laundry tote for mine. i also have the stainless steel bowls for use but i havent done those yet, i really wanted to use the plastic bowls just to see how it turned out.

It aint patented yet because everyone can make one very easily at home with just using CEMENT at very little cost. Even some one like you Laced can make one LOL.

Plus most of these bowls weigh 60-120lbs so shipping, and delivery would be very expensive, so making it yourself would save you a lot of money.

The main reason for these concrete water bowls is so that the dog cannot tip or knock the bowl over. Another secondary benefit if build right is that it also elevates the water higher so dog can drink it easier without having to bend its neck down.
