    Yea, when I moved from Chicago down here 4.5 years ago, I had no clue that we get freezing temps and occasionally snow down here. Otherwise I would have brought my heavy jackets with me....my dumbass left them with ppl that I thought would need em more than me. Chicago will give you a new meaning of "cold" and "windy", that's for sure.

    Its 48 right now and thier saying now we could hit the low of 27..so its going to drop 21 degrees bfore morning..Talk about a change lol.

    I thought bama was supposed to be warm. 27F tonight. Out feeding the dogs and giving fresh water to them and the birds an hour ago. Drove home with the window down because I was sweating. Lol

    It gets cold down here man..Heres the deal though we gone freeze our ass off for the next couple days and then back to around 70 by the weekend.So it does give the dogs a break and that usually how it goes down here.And we got a wet cold down here so 45 is alot colder than it sounds.

    That's how it was up here a couple days ago. 45F but was windy and the rain felt like needles hitting your face. It's been pretty calm lately, just cold. But I work in a refrigerator where the warmest part is 38 degrees. I spent 5 years in -20 40hrs/wk.

    It got down to 28 here last night and had to break the ice in the water bowls but the dogs looked in great shape.....I got up at 4 a.m. and the furnace only cut on one time.I put 2 by 6 walls in my house instead of 2 by 4 so i could get more insulation in.It pays off ,more you save on Electric or Gas is just more money in your pocket.Hell the electric company had to cut me a check recently.

    lol how you know it only cut on one time is enough for me to laugh to myself my man. Mine could have been running all night and I wouldn't know lol. I made a mental note of the 2by6s....when I buy or build my own, that's exactly what I'm going to do. Our insulation in the houses down here is terrible! We got down to 29 lastnight, expecting about 34 tonight. A few nicer days after that.

    I was up lol..it only cut on one from 4 to 7 a.m.
    and yeah bfore 4 i dont know lol..but just guessing bfore 4 maybe twice.

    Tree just 2 by 6 on your outside wall..Just go with 2 by 4 on inside but yea insulate them to..But your outside walls most important..One on the inside dont matter as much.

    lol shit, maybe I need to take my ass back to sleep! lol I was thinkin you meant it turned on one time all night. I was gonna ask to pay you for a duplicate setup you had so I could figure out how much the power co. is fucking me. My shit runs constantly it seems. And for the power co. cutting you a check, that's the first time I've ever heard of that (unless over billed) so you know you're doing something right.

    Gotcha bama....appreciate it partner! The lack of insulation was the big difference I immediately noticed in the houses/apartments when I moved down here. Summer time it's hard to keep cool air in and vice versa in winter time. Being used to the insulation up north, it's hard to get used to the lack of down here. If I buy a house, I'll re-do the insulation myself....if I build one, I'll pay my cousin or brother to come down here and built it like they build their houses up north.
