Who like Wings?

Hmmm doesnt look the same .The kind I use is Quaker or Jim Dandy and the Grits are white.I boil with water to get them tender and then I add some whole milk to make them creamer.I also add salt while cooking and then serve top it off with butter and sharp cheddar.I never saw those before YJJ

Its Breafast food here kinda like oat meal or cream of wheat but different .Now I've saw some Cajun seafood dishes served on top of Grits and folks say its amazing.I just keep it breakfast lol can't help it.

 

Ok difference is yours is hominy the one I posted is corn.

 

I noticed it but just never saw any like you posted.I wonder how different taste would be

 

My Grandparents always cooked white rice and.chilli YJJj and.you would put the chilli over the rice.Now I ate it but honestly I just wanted the Chilli with some crackers.The way we eat chilli here is with sharp cheddar and sour cream on top.Crackers and Tortilla chips on the side.

 

You can get Red Mills polenta just about anywhere. If you like tortilla chip or cornbread with chili give this a try. It's AWESOME!

 

I can't eat hominy, it's too gross lol That's probably why I don't care for grits. It's been a long time since I tried them though...maybe I'll try it again.

 

Back to the chili, I could dig it on rice, love rice.

Friend of mine made spagilli one time. I was like wtf is spagilli? It's spaghetti noodles topped with chilli and cheese instead of marinara or tomato sauce. It was canned chilli, it was ok. So with some chilli leftovers one time I tried it, my chilli was home made, It was great! Kinda weird but it made a good meal.

 

Yep..without salt and butter its pretty bad YJJ.With salt ,butter and sharp cheddar its hard to beat.

 

I have used spaghetti squash in place of.noodles with sauce served over the spaghetti squash .Its pretty dam good especially if you trying to eat right.

 

Love spaghetti squash! I like it better in spaghetti than pasta

Lol it's a Pickle .Its a Pickle then drain the juice and replace with your Fav fruit punch and let it set a while..Not my recipe so I'm just guessing but its differently good.
