last fall my buddy bush lost his best catch dog to an alligator in south carolina,,,
he said it was a weird grey night that didnt seem right,,,
the dogs bayed a hog in some water and the catch dog was released,,,
when a alligator snatched up the catchdog before anybody could think twice...
he and his sons were very tight with that dog and they shared some tears,,,
he asked his sons if they wanted to take their young dog out to catch,,,
he thought they would say no,,, but they were all about it as they put it,,,
thats what the dogs are for... note the pup and the old catch dog slept on their bed and is/was their best friends...
I think my buddy is a great father thats raising some respectable children and I hope he reads this,,,
as he lives a life that I really admire...

...so leash your pets but let the catch dogs do what they do...

My uncle lost one of his best hot tracking coon hounds to A gator! Man was he bummed, he never had much money but he bred and trained some of the best hot trackers around, A couple days before some hunter offered him an enormous amount of money for that dog!
