yard set ups

This is exactly what I have, cept I have a tow-chain around a biiig tree, put together with big c-clamps, and a swivel... Where we are now, the ground is soupy, and under the Oak tree, it stays dry....

 

^^^^you need a swivel on that chain and make sure that D is done up with a wrench and some loktite

EACH KENNEL HAS ITS OWN DRAIN AND WATER SUPPLY. ALL KENNEL'S ARE 10' X 10' AND ARE COVERED BY A HEAVY DUTY SCREEN WHICH BLOCKS OFF 75% OF THE SUN. ALL DOG HOUSE'S ARE DOUBLED WALLED AN ARE INSULATED AND KEPT OFF THE FLOOR. IN BETWEEN THE KENNELS IS A 8' x 20' CABLE SYSTEM WHICH HAS PEA GRAVEL AS THE BASE FOR THE DOGS TO BE ON.



ALL PUPPIES ARE KEPT ON OUR 4' X 10' ABOVE GROUND KENNELS WHILE THEY ARE BEING WEANED AWAY FROM THERE MOTHER. PUPS ARE KEPT HERE FROM THE AGES OF 3 WEEKS TILL THEY ARE READY TO GO TO THERE NEW HOMES.

 

Also not shown on these pictures I added to each kennel a 4 feet x 4 feet wooden platform so they can lay on instead of concrete.

 

looks good senior dragon, temperature is getting better now so im going put some platforms in as well.

how did u make those drains? im planning on making some too, was thinking of removing a 30x30 tile below the wooden platform, dig like 80 cm downwards and fill it all up with gravel

 

When I had the kennels put in they connected all the drains under ground and slanted the concrete towards the drains.the water supply was also brought to the kennels. They used three inch PVC pipes for the drains. I had the kennels professionally build.

Thanks Boogiemanblood. Had Nine pups and had no problem keeping them clean and healthy with two above ground kennel. This kennel setup real cuts cleaning time in half and keeps all of them in good health.

 

no lap links or s hooks. use cold shuts only. only use orings no clips .. this whole thread had me shaking my head. seen a few good ones but many many unsafe setups

Hows your neighbors take it with your dogs senior dragon? Barking and whatnot? Looks like their kinda close.

 

They do well with my neighbors. I keep them clean and well fed and we respect our neighbors.

I found 20 feet of logging chain for 100 bucks I was wondering if it would work for apbt's it says its 20 feet aprox 120 Lbs I would be cutting the chain for two dogs. Half would be 60 pounds maybe thats why some people only use 3 feet worth? Would this chain work and how long should it be?

 

Wear three feet around your neck for a week then decide.
