Plenty of good alternatives these days. Almost everyone has copied their design.

I'm no NRA member .Never felt like I needed to be a member of any group to support the 2nd amendment. How ever I do realize the NRA does a lot to protect the 2nd.

All my coolers wind up as bait tanks or bait coolers lol. I have a few nicer ones for all my frozen and cut bait though.

I been watching people blowing them up on Fb. I just SMH. I'd be damned if i blow up some 300 dollar cooler because they don't want to be affiliated with the NRA.

    1. You already paid for it so whether you agree with their decision or not makes no difference since you have already supported them by buying the product.

    2. They dont give a shit what you do with that cooler because they already got your money. They just sitting back laughing like, we got these dumb mofos. Lmao.

In the end, they already got your money for the cooler. If you destroy it or get rid of it. Whos the fool? Keeping in mind they already got your money........

This isnt directed at anyone just in general.

Personally, I guess I just have never had the need for a high end cooler. The junk ass colmans I got work just fine and I Could buy 15 to 20 of them for the price of one yeti and still have money left over to fill them all with beer.....

The kicker with these companies is the decisions are made my which side of the fence pays the most money. It has nothing to do with what is right or wrong, nothing to do with a moral compass, it simply the almighty dollar.

If sales drop past the point they expect, they reverse the coarse.

I would not trash mine nor get rid of it because the company chased the side of the dollar I do not support.

I'm sort of selfish that way. I'm looking out for me. I'm not a big supporter of causes. I won't object to causes verbally, but at the same time I am not going to march in their parade either.

Wait for the quarterly reports to come out and then you will see who spends the most money. Their decision will make their bank statement absolutely transparent.

And I agree with AGK. I can't see that much money for no more than I am looking for in a cooler. I have like 8-10 Wal-Mart types around. They work for me.

My son has a Yetti cooler that he paid around $400 for a couple of years ago. Being biased, as his truck payment was due (to me), I thought he had lost his freaking mind. It is way nice. It works as advertised.

I can't see it. But as I have readily admitted I am cheap. I could buy one for $30-$40 and spend the other $300 in a better way for me. Like AGK said, 'then replace it 10 times".

If you ever do anything in extreme heat the plenty of ice at the end of the day and on into the next few days is very nice. With a cheaper cooler you have to leave out and find a store that has ice and if its 20 miles or more it becomes a headache.I said I'd never spend that type of cash on a cooler either until I saw their usefulness..Now if you just need a cooler for a night or a day, sure cheaper is fine...And Yeti know they done fucked up.They back crawling .Already issued a statement little to late. They claim it was a huge misunderstanding when in fact it wasn't.They claim they meant to offer the NRA and a couple other organizations new programs but they failed to mention this part in the original email...hmmmm
Like I said they crawfishing. No other side of the dollar to be made here.Heart and soul of their money was coming from hunters and fisher type folks.

Agreed. I really do not have purpose for a cooler like that, and since I am cheap, if a one-off compared within the ball park I would save the money. I'm way cheap.

And Yetti, like every other business/corporation, will side on the side of the dollar that is the greenest.

I will tend to disagree on the last part. In the beginning it may have been hunters and fishers but now I think a large chunk of their buyers are upper middle class, status buyers, the ones that buy a 2500HD Chevrolet truck because they look cool at the club. Sort of off topic but the same principle. If you are close to 50 years old think back to the wealthiest neighborhood in your area. Rich folks, if you will. Do you remember the doctors, lawyers, and business owners driving a 1978 4WD truck? Now cruise that same neighborhood. It is cool to own a Z71, F-150, with big black wheels, and a tool box. Back then a truck was more of a need thus it was affordable. Now that same truck is more of a want, thus $70K with all the bells and whistles.

Same with Yeti. They decided to divide up and get every ones money.

Go to a concert. Look at the amount of Yeti coolers and huggies out there. These kids are kicking out mommy-daddy money for the name. The performance too, but the status of the name.

Which in business, is brilliant. They targeted another demographic and capitalized. I'm thinking they were thinking that set would carry them. The speaking out on the NRA, like you sort of said, cost them more than they thought. Then it is time to back track.

But back on topic. I have only read a couple of articles and watched a couple of videos. If they are already back tracking then the dollar signs fell on the other side of the table.

They have to go back and try to get them too.

So me being cheap, I'm looking out for that casual protester that will sell his in protest for way cheap! LOL

Plus I would be looking for some killer sales on Yeti stuff over the next coming weeks. Gotta bring everyone back into the fold.

If a guy is rich enough and he wants a 500 dollar cooler to throw on the back of his 70 thousand dollar pick up so be it.It doesn't mean he doesn't support the 2nd amendment. Its still same side of the coin.
