Your experience with Hemphill dogs

You are so Right Very Very Temperamental,So game as pups, i had to tie each of them up at an early age due to them fighting like grown dogs kinda over game..but that was like 10 to 15 yrs ago when i was in the game,,,Breed them to some very good Tants Yellow John...Gave Me Wind a stronger Bite and double Gameness,,,I don't want to breed into shit just to keep my blood line,,,been out of the game for a long time just got some very old blood that i want to renew were do i start?????

 

I spent years trying to research my dog with no luck. I knew his mother, seen her go, and saw her pedigree half a dozen times. Hemphill top and bottom Red Devil Corvino and Hemphill on top. She was red as red Was great with everything and everyone His sire I only knew call name and never saw paper. Long story short, through years of searching and calling and Going back n forth with ADBA and trying to track pedigrees I have no luck. Not enough facts. My dog is now 8 years old pet never nothing. Great with people but dog aggressive. Father was white and brindle. This guy brindle and white and looks like staff 67 lbs. friendly as hell to any hand just like his mother. Sorry about ranting just saying I spent years trying to research his mother hoping to track with ADBA with no luck.

 

Also something to keep in mind that it wasn't long ago that the general public was all up on owning a "red nose" or red. So the red backyard breeders of yesterday were the blue of today. I think next is white. After all it is American

Somewhat similar to how some of my dogs are bred... Mayfield(Tudor)/Clouse x Hemphill/Wilder. I'd kill to find some well bred dogs of that cross. Just love them.

 

I remember when this one went over the hour mark (then picked up game if I remember right,) it was kind of a big deal in the 90's. Dont know much else about this subject though. Dont know if the kennel is still around or not, I think they were in Maine and then moved south in the 90's.

Dont know him, or the dog. I just remember it was kind of a big deal, because a dog bred that way went 1hr. Wasnt there to verify it, but I do remember seeing it in the SDJ reports when it "happened."

 

I gave a good friend of mine a male that came out way to big for my liking (about 16-18 years ago) on the condition he did not breed the dog but he studded him out for $500 and a pup about 8 times in your area. 5 of those breedings were done near 132nd and 104th and about 75% were big rednose offspring, maybe you remember seeing a sign on the corner across from the 7 11 that said "Texas Rednose Pit Bull Puppies $300", lol. I think the fella, Dan, sold about 40 off that corner in a 2-3 year period before he got shot near the park where the B.C. Lions practice. Every time I drive through Surrey I see Big pits with bad backends and no wind and wonder if they have a drip of the good blood in there somewhere, lmao.

Gaud... I wonder if the MASSIVE male I always see around here is down from that dog. He's insanely massive and with a huge really wrinkly head. lol I didn't live here at that time. I was still back in Ontario or just arrived in Vancouver. lol

Ask the owner if their dog is a "Texas Rednose", Dan always said that was the name of the line, lmao, he also used to say the more purple the nose the gamer the dog...

LMAO! Ya... first thing I did was ask how he was bred and the guy didn't know. :/

I'm sure my boy came out of that big red nose excitement back in the day. I met his grandsire back in the early nineties, the one who was bred to the Farrelly dog and he was a friggin monster. Since I got my dogs second hand and never got the paperwork on them, I spent YEARS hunting down their ped info only to find the guy who owned his grand sire, be promised that he'd dig up the info but he never did. Made me completely insane especially since I already had the info on their grand dam. All I have for that side is Hemphill/Wilder and "game bred" from other folks who had relatives. I wish to hell I knew who else was selling/breeding dogs in Kingston back then. I harassed friends and strangers alike until the trail went cold. Very frustrating....

My friends Cam/Am Boys had many and well as many other of us.

Al working for the chest. Red on the ear. Red turns at 56. Al comes on strong at 58.
Handle at 1 hour and Red goes. Al has more mouth and gets on the muzzle and has the red dog hollering, Big Joe picks up Red at 1:10.
