I agree about EBT blood, despite having a tiny amount of EBT blood "Psycho" was far better than the pure bred SBTs in the area ....he was from, and was like a old dog when he met "Stormer"...his new owners never did a dog before and he looked poor, where as "Stormer"s conditioner was more experienced and he looked fit...

Why would I have any interest in proving you anything? If you believe I am some sort of cyber dogman, please feel free to! I couldn´t care less. But what you may have done 20 years ago or more does not give you any leverage as far as I am concerned. Perhaps I am all talk, but you’re talking way more than me on this board anyhow.

Thanks Nash! It was a while ago, but the task is more of a burden than anything else. But someone had to do it.

No one asked you to spend your breath, and you obviously have not paid attention or you would have realised the dog was heavy in his early photo, less heavy in the second photo and very trimmed and muscular in the third photo, the video was made BEFORE all this weight loss was done, I got the dog already grown, his original owner is a long distance lorry/truck driver and his wife has back problems and the dog was too strong for her to walk, when i got him he was so fat he couldn't turn his head or look over his own shoulder.
How can you be involved in a sport and not know how to spell it?
Taekwondo? I wouldn't have chose to boast about things like this on here but since you assumed im a couch potato> i've been involved in martial arts from i was 9 or 10 until well into adulthood, I still train 3 days per week in the gym, i walk with the dog and cycle in between, I'm also self employed so your nothing special because you work or do everyday things, go back and look at the last and most RECENT photo of the same dog he looks as trim as the one in your avatar pic but stronger, do you think he managed to lose the weight and get this trim without exercise?

I'm having trouble with this site freezing and cutting off before i can complete anything so i'm not going to reply on every point you made here, The reason I've had so many dogs is simple, there were times I'd sell one to another dog man or had to re-home one or two because of moving house or my work situation changed and i'd be working too long or bad hours & hadn't time for them, The brindle dog was stolen, the white battle cross made the news papers and TV on the news by being broken from my yard by scumbags and fought in the street with two large cross bred mutts while the scum who broke him out battered him with metal pipes and kicked him so much his testicals came off in the street, I'm sure you'd remember hearing about it as the whole town was talking about it & I had reporters and Stephen Philpot from the USPCA and his team at my house etc.
I do understand what you mean about badgers compared to dogs etc, I also understand where you don't see the comparison of a dogs having it's metal tested against a badger compared to a long match against a dog, I know you and others on here don't consider a dog facing a badger game as it is not a long session and the badger will only stay on him long enough to back him off then it'll flee the first change it gets whereas another dog will be looking to keep at him, i get that, but I still don't agree that a dog willing to face a badger and not back off isn't game, But I will agree that it's definately not the same as an hour plus with another dog.
Regarding me saying I wouldn't stoop to insults and the use of bad language on here, i meant ON HERE> If I was talking to you or anyone face to face and in the course of the conversation there's a few swear words used thats ok because it's not going to offend anyone, but go through all my posts and you'll see I never use profanity towards anyone even if I don't like what they said, I might say the comment was dumb or stupid, I NEVER use swear words, but if you feel the urge to say it in person feel free, you said your often in and out the roads around here, from after this week i'll be seen out more with the dog as my work commitments have changed, im sure you'll know me when you see the dog.
This is a forum, many people have different opinions, if they DON'T post then there's no forum, no debate, you might not like what i've said but at least your typing instead of saying nothing.

    To the Moderators>
I'm not sure if anyone else is having the same problem but the site is often hanging or freezing completely, often you can type a few words before any appear, by the time you finish the whole thing might just freeze and you have to exit without it ever reaching the forum, I know it's not a computer problem here, i've tried 2 different laptops, I've uninstalled firefox and reinstalled the latest versions, i then tried it with internet explorer and it's still doing it, my connection is fibre optic running about 32meg so it's not a speed issue.
I just thought i'd let you know in case others have the same problem & so you's are aware and can bring it to the attention of whoever deals with these issues.

You need to take your head out of your ass, the reason i mentioned the hight of the dogs was to make the point that although the dogs may have KC blood in them as many staffords do, they do not meet todays KC standard, they are more like the stafford of the mid 80s where a decent sized animal with any strength did NOT look like they do in shows today, Today's show dogs are small, 15inch males etc,
I also know the original pitbull came in all shapes and sizes, but this discussion was about staffords not pitbulls,
As for terriers not being game, > I am not suggesting a terrier such as a kerry blue or an irish terrier would be able for a pitbull, I know their not physically as strong, but as i said they are hot headed and quite often more aggressive and likely to fight than any stafford, they also don't back off once engaged in a fight, My grand father & uncle had kerry blue's (working type) my uncle brought them from Kerry when he used to work in Cork, They were very hot headed with other dogs, I also know Big Jack Doherty & His son John Doherty (John is my uncle) Easily two of the best known kerry blue men in ireland owning green star winners and crufts qualifiers, so i've been around kerry's enough to know they have no fear in them.
As I said they cannot be compared to Pitbulls but to say they are not game is like saying Manny Paquiao isn't game because your imagining him fighting Mike Tyson and know he couldn't match his physical strength or power.

Makes no difference about if kerry blues or irish terriers being strong or not , they have been show dogs for near or more than 100 years the are not game, ....about size difference, Iv seen 28lbs APBTs, are they not the size or smaller than Irish terriers or kerry blue terriers, so your comparison between Paquiao and Tyson is meaningless ... its YOU who keep mentioning size as if this is the reason Staffs are not what they use to be... well Iv see it and they ware never on par with APBTs

well my old kc stafford sent a couple oe his american cousins home with their tails between their legs !! i dont give a fcuk what anyone says , he was a fcuking animal born to it ! i had folks with yankee dogs wanting to test them with him, i was not stupid and rolled in private , they were sorry not me ..

  18. activeirish

    activeirish Big Dog

Of course it makes a difference, a pitbull weighing 28 - 30 pounds is a dog that is ripped down to that weight and is 28 - 30 pounds of muscle, no kerry or irish terrier is a physical match for that, the original reason i mentioned these terriers was someone had said terriers were not bred to bulldogs to improve bulldogs, it was done to improve the terriers.
my reply suggested that was wrong & the introduction of terrier blood was to create a complete new breed combining the strength of the bulldog with the speed and fire of the terrier & I'd pointed out that these terriers were all known for having hot tempers and although no match in a dog fight for a pitbull they are dogs that are very willing to engage in a fight.
Again the only reason I mentioned the hight of my dogs was because some had said the're show dogs and I pointed out that TODAYS show stafford is about 15in max so although my stafford may have the form & type of a kc dog it is definately NOT like todays 15in KC dogs and much more like a dog of 20 years ago when a kc stafford was still a decent hight with physical strength, which cannot be said for the Show version of 2012?
