Just thought I would share this story. A friend of mine has two pits. One of them I gave him and the other was found on the side of the road as a puppy. He lives in an apartment on the second floor. The other day when he was gone to the store someone came by the apartment and the dog they found on the side of the road had jumped out the window after the person who came by. Hours later my friend comes home to find both of his dogs running around the complex, one with large cuts down its side and back. Luckily his girlfriend works at the vet clinic and it was no problem to get him stiched back up. Guess he will have to go back to putting him in a kennel when he leaves. Anybody else have a good bulldog story to tell?

Damn thats a crazy @$$ dog, i got a good story actually just happened yesterday. It was raining all day and i was under the porch with my dog sitting at the table talking to my parents, well my dog was sitting next to me just staring into the yard at who knows what, well i finally told him to go get it, so here is my dog running full speed through the grass and right before he got to the driveway he tried to make a sharp turn to avoid the truck but couldn't quite hold the turn so he tried to jump to recover but slammed sideways into the steel bumper of the truck and skidded across the driveway, well ofcourse being a crazy bulldog he gets right up and goes over to a tree to chase a squirell. Somehow he only ended up with a little scratch on his side but i thought for sure that he broke a rib, but i guess he got lucky

My male went through my window after a pack of ankle biters. I got out of my car & was about to enter my house when they charged me & out he came. The sound of the breaking glass & my screams freaked him out so he didn't come all the way out & he only had a small cut on his nose. He went back in & was trying to get out the door as I was coming in but I managed to get in without him pushing through. I had to put guards on all of my windows to keep it from happening again ( we have a LOT of loose dogs running around my neighborhood). I ended up taking the guards off and have resorted to putting heavy furniture in front of them so he can't do it again.

My female has gone thru a few windows. Prey drive=birds, squirrels and ferral cats, and once when a stranger continously pounded on the back window=of which there is a sign that says to stay away from.

Only once did she need to get stitched. (Thank God).
Having friends in the glass business helped a lot.
Lower half of all my windows have since been opaqued and she can't see out them.... No more broken glass.:) and all feeders have been moved out of her view.
She keeps us all on our toes!

My dogs have their own room here at home. Well, Ozzy hates to be outside in the rain, and when I let him in he runs straight to thier room to lay down. There have been many times that I have shut their door and he comes running down the hall full speed and WHAM! He looks dazed for a couple seconds, shakes it off, then goes to lay down. He does it all the time, you'd think he'd learn.
My cat watches squirrels from our living room window. We have a squirrel that I lovingly call Henry. He comes by all the time and "hides" his peanuts, walnuts, etc. in my flower boxes. One morning, my Dad was over, and Seth was watching Henry out the window. Dad had dozed off on the couch about the time Henry came by and Seth slammed into the window trying to catch him I dont know what was funnier, the cat slamming into the window or my Dad jumping out of his skin!

We moved so I wasn't really sure of all the confinements of this OLD house. Seriously old, laundry shoot, wood windows, outlets on the floor only one outlet per room and no light switches upstairs old. So we went across the street to this little store the next thing i know I hear jingle jingle jingle. I'm thinking there is a dog loss somewhere outside because the little store has the door propped open. Well next thing I know I'm headed to the register and there is Dozer coming into the store. He broke out the old screen on the front window and followed us to the store.

I was walking my female (dog) in a large open field with a big oak tree right in the middle. My dog, "potatoe", was on a lead and spotted a squirrel. So I let her off to go chase it since there wasn't anybody around. She chased it to the oak tree and was jumping up tryin to get in the tree. I turned around for a second and when I turned back she had completely disapeared. I thought about the possibility that she had actually run up the trunk but since the first branches were at least twelve maybe thirteen feet high thought it was unlikely so I started to worry that she'd run off. I started frantically calling her. After I had called her about five times suddenly her big ole, red head popped out of the dense foliage of the tree, a good fifteen feet in the air, and started looking around the field as if she was irritated that I was bothering her. When she spotted me she froze and stared at me at me as if to say "yeah, what the hell do you want". So I yelled "dammit Potatoe get over here". She disapeared back into the tree and then suddenly and without warning launched out of the tree with complete commitment. Needless to say she was way to high in the tree to exit in that manner safely. She hit the ground with her front feet, they buckled under the force, she proceeded to do a face plant which led to a ridiculous flopping roll with legs and tail flying in every direction, mind you this is normally an exquisitly gracefull animal which only added to the comedic affect. After all that, that crazy bitch just got up and trotted on over to me like nothing happened, looking over her shoulder the whole time tryin to see where the squirrel went.

I would have had a STROKE!!! Your house sounds really cool though! Except for the electricty thing ( too small boxes) I love old houses.
