R.I.P. Devil Dog aka D.D.

I just wanted to let y'all know that my husband was just in a wreck about an hour ago while traveling to pick up Cole's prescription. As he was driving, a car coming in the opposite direction turned left in front of him. My husband had no choice to hit him b/c if he swerved left, he would just hit a different car head on. Anyways, he caught the back end of the other car completely ripping off the bumper & side panel & who knows what else. The other guy managed to get his car restarted & took off.....no one got his license number. My husband just called me & told me the LA State Police are in pursuit of him now. I hope they catch the son of a bitch.

Well, he had taken D.D. with him for a ride. All Craig would tell me is that D.D. was sitting up in the passenger seat............I don't want to know any more. I had to pass by the wreckage on my way home, but I looked the other way. My next door neighbor is on his way to the scene to pick up D.D.'s body for us & bring him home & is going to bury him for us tonight. Damn dogs.........they annoy you to know end, but you love them with every part of your heart. RIP my boy.

(For those wondering, D.D. was a awesome dog I obtained from Mr. B.)

That is horrible. I am so very sorry for that loss. Happy hunting tracking the sob that caused the wreck. That is a tragic event and I am saddened by your loss. Prayers up for ya'll and may DD rest in peace.

Very sorry for your loss. Nothing (except for dog thieves and poisoners) pisses me off worse than those who flee the scene after they may have seriously hurt somebody. Someone tried to do that to us back in March -- with Loki and Jedi in the backseat -- and my husband floored the little wagon and caught the drunk bastard, ironically as he pulled up behind a police officer. Some people just have no respect or compassion for anybody, only a fear of getting caught. I will hope right along with you that they catch the SOB.

(I realize I responded more with anger than sorrow, but that's just how it makes me feel. You lost your beloved dog because of someone else's callous behavior.)
