  1. well i was having work done in my backyard and the neighbor kid comes over to ask me a question with a stranger (to me) i dont know from adam.. walks right in and starts talking to me about my dogs. . so not to be nasty i answered a few questions and went back to work .. well, now, seems , he was a breeder and had to start all over again..i said none of my dogs are available. and i wont be breeding ..only place he might get one like mine is off my police friends in newyork that have one.,but., waiting list is 3 years.,

well wouldnt you know it..last night my dogs go off inside the house AND, some idiot is walking the side fence with a flashlight looking in my yard.. to quick to call the cops.. after!! i told dude that next person i catch trying to steal a dog from me is getting shot!! .. the idiot still took that chance.. and all them dogs they can have for free , they seem to think they gotta steal mine grrrrr...adds up the same not like they can paper my dogs . . pretty much gotta make backyard pups without papers, or falsify papers and use these dogs to breed them ... same thing gonna have dogs that arent proven or maybe not even stable...i didnt shoot.. and i didnt let the dogs out becuz the person was still on the other side of the fence... when i saw the light and took off, dressed in dark clothing and dark gloves n hat over face..

that really makes me soo mad..grrrr .. why my dogs?? with so many free pits out there???

At a place i use to live there were neighbors like this. I just told them they werent paper'd yadda yadda, as they were punk ass kids.

Well, a dog i had at the timewas the only "accessable" dog to them. He was on a chain, but had a fence around him. This dog doesnt make a peep when dogs are around, he just burned holes through things ;).
Anyway, one morning i happened to look out my window. One of the dumb f#cks was DRAGGING his boxers face over to "meet" my dog. I can see the look in my dogs eye... just a little closer, little closer, almost there.... and that boxer looked like he was gonna piss himself. I booked it outside and proceeded to let them know that if they wanted their dog to keep his face to back the fuck off, and to never step foot on my property again or they would have to deal with my Ruger.

I ended up getting a different dog stolen from that house not too long down the road. I suspect is was the idiots next door, but couldnt prove it. So i moved far away.

My advice to you is MOVE or get a nasty ass guard dog. A 120 pound Rottie should help deter them from wanting in your yard.

Ok....a few months ago you had problems with these neighbors. I'm sure we all recall the terrible accounts. I'm sure, if you're looking for others' input, it''ll be the same: move to a different neighborhood/city, or arm yourself only in full confidence of using your firearm if it's required.

    Sucks you have shady neighbors.

  5. actually its different this time..that kid what i did was get to talking to him so he knows im looking his way.. hes 18 and a bit behind in brains .. just like to look the part of shady and talk alot of bull ..just so happens the people he talks bull to take it seriously.. two weeks after they moved in , i couldnt prove that one of my stolen dogs was due to him and his buddies..

this occasion was my lil pregnant neighbor coming over with some guy i dont know in tow to talk to me about her baby shower.. the dude she had with her was somebodys uncle just hanging out..then i did hear him talking up my dogs to the same young man neighbor.. and magically , same night soon after dark.. theres some guy on my side fence with a flashlight dressed in dark clothing and all covered up .. flashing light into my yard.. then was gone..so could be either of them doing it or causing it to be done.. thing is ..its stupid!! no shortage of pits being given away FREE here.. all over the place.. no need to steal a dog at all....

as for moving... been in this house a long time ..not likely gonna find a new house with the same brick home and huge yard for the price of this one..

aint that easy .... im going to ask the nieghbor on that side of the fence if she would mind it if i get some nice looking plastic lattice to put on that side .. as neighbors one must consider both sides of the fence.. if not that some almost invisible wire to make it more difficult for these people to come near....

good thing for my prophecy she keeps eye out for everything..

well im going out there with them becuz i want those folks to see im out with my dogs ..its nice out ,, yardwork awaits and i can keep eye out on my girls and deemer..... just wanted to make a small reminder , keep eye out for your dogs .. this is so ridiculous.. honesty with free dogs out there , you would think>>>>>>>why

This is one reason I invested in a survalance camera setup. Check out ur local eletronics shop (radio shack is where i got mine). U can find some reasonable setups I got 4 cam. and a control 4 them 4 under $400. These cam. r not wireless but the have motion sensors to where if the detect motion they automactical start recording plus the controler 4 them has all kinds of settings such as scan each cam every 4 to 45 sec. and will also beep every time they pick up motion. They even have sound and a intercomm built in and are very easy 2 hook up 2 a vcr/tv setup. I was so impressed I have 2 setup like this (i have a pretty big yard) hope this helps some.

Fortunately for me, my male bull barks at noises and anything out of ordinary(mainly because they attack the opossums and other critters in the yard). Only problem is if someone still decided to jump the fence my dogs would bark but would just start wagging tails, too. I'd get a BIG motion light(what we use). Thing is so bright the neighbors would be alarmed at my house.

  11. funny but i saw the cam ans started to consider it when i went to the store for the rest of the supplies i needed for yard .. think i do this ..gotta add lighting to the back there .. where it wont be easily accessable.. the world is tuff and gotta do what you can to stay ahead

reason for a real look at the problem is all the pups being born lately are prime targets ... just a reminder to all the proud new litter owners.... alot of people will come by just to see what they can steal and what the set up is .. they can easy falsify papers.. and use the better dog to breed off of the papers they got from a dead dog or lost dog or a lesser quality dog to add to their yard a better dog line that they stole away.... just wanted it out there as a little before thought for all the folks.....

thanks for the support.. when i go to the store here in a few .. i take a second look at the cams.. i seen some when i went for batteries for the bark collars and lighting.. now gotta go for the electric fence supplies , keep my dogs from annoying the neighbors that dont bother me ...we live in peace

also .... gonna get some flyers together and start neighborhood watch.. i just know more than just me is having problems with theft.. the H family across the street have had thefts they didnt even report figuring the cops were never gonna work hard on finding what was stolen anyway..

weve had the broken car windows that go around every few months ..kids i spose on a dare.. thanks again for the support , please keep it in mind

Yea, motion lights help a lot. Most times if the light goes on they'll book. Cameras are great but if the scuzz has his face covered it's no good & if they do get your dog, all you'll have is a vid of it. It won't get your dog back.

I like the bear trap idea. I think that will work best. Or maybe some hot wire around the fence & a man-eating guard dog. or since you're a woman perhaps you could go out there & cap their a.. & use defense as your plea out. You were out in the yard & this guy attacked you ... lol.

I bet once thieves started getting shot they would stop stealing. Maybe.

  13. yeah! we have some mongrouls for neighbors too...we tell averybody they are mixed and have no papers!

They ask "Those full blood pits?" We simply say "No, they are mixed and are not registered"!

They seem to not care any longer! Just the way I like it!

  14. think that mixed breed will do.. since they are little and all think i can get away with beagle pug heinz 57 variety.. thier ears arent cropped and such think will be a great idea... and will really help out in the license dept too.. man , they give you such a look when youre licensing a pit you just gotta shake yer head at the attitudes out there.... from now on im the proud owner of puggly weiner dogs...... there a whole new breed.....!!

Sad. I had a dog stolen out of a locked privacy fence years ago. I don't wish that on anyone. My dogs are ( and were then too) house dogs & they are not outside alone for a SECOND. They got me once, they won't get me again. be carefeul.

I once told a little thug who asked me about Smokey that she was a Lab mix. I got the same thing - sudden disinterest. lol.

Now i don't tell ppl they are mutts any more b/c I don't feel right about lying. So I now say my dogs are staffordshire mixes - which is true since most of my dogs have AmStaff WAY back in their ped. I usually get a just quizzical look.

Sadly, we are currently searching for our beloved dog Blade. We are 99% sure he was stolen. Chain wasn't broken & his collar (gone with him) was brand new & one of the sturdier, more expensive ones with no indication of any bending or warping when we hooked him up that morning. He was only outside when we were at work/school. Our neighbors usually help keep an eye on him, but had a funeral that day. We are doing everything we know to do to find him. He is actually a pitbull mix, which we always told everyone, but still had a couple offers to buy him or breed him. (Have already investigated both those people). None of our neighbors have seen him wandering either, which also makes stealing the more likely theory. I'm new on here, so I do not know if it is allowable to post a lost dog listing on here. But if anyone is willing to help us in anyway to find him, please email me & I will send a description & pic. We are worrying & grieving ourselves sick without him & appreciate any & all help. Wouldn't wish this loss on anyone. (BTW, we rescued him as a pup 2 years ago from a person who was going to use him for fighting.)

thats always my biggest fear.At my new house we have 10,000 feet of backyard so I just decided I wont walk my dogs in the neighborhood I felt like it was advertising so they just get excercise at the park and the yard we have a prvacy fence so no one can see them which helps alot. For christmas I got a couple signs that say "caution area patroled by pit bull security" they are cool but I dont want to hang them cuz I preffer for no one to know whats on the other side of the fence My family all say I am paranoid but you can never be to carefull with pits.I have thought of buying a couple signs that say beware of rott or dobie most people wont come near that! Also thought about actually getting a guard dog for my dogs, the breeder i bought chloe from had pups stolen 3x despite a 12 ft chain link fence finally she went to the humane society and got a large grown german shepard and had no more pups stolen after he came to live with her.By the way do you leave your dogs outside when your not there? my dogs are never outside when no ones home to watch them I really dont care if they destroty the house or whatever nothing could be worse that knowing that someone low enough to steal a dog could have my babies I would probably have to quit my job so i could search the city for them.It would probably be a good idea to get your dogs chipped too its not veey exspensive and would make you feel a little better

You know what is fun? run a hot wire at the top of the fence and at the bottom that way when they grab for the top of the fence the get the shit knocked out of them. and when they fall face down they hit the other one. Run it off a welder on high make it a 240 welder it will for sure end all that thieving crap thoughts in his head. and he will have a perminant reminder of it as it will burn a welt through his goves and his forehead. I use barbed wire and electric here on the sides and back. front is covered by shot gun or rifle. Or even a pistol. What ever is handy at the time. Shoot for the face they can't run or scream that way. If your neighbors are like mine they are so used to hearing me shooting my weapons they don't even pay attention. So then you can go inside and eat supper and forget about it. Let the rats and crows find it. No worries, no problems.
