i do a chain cage combo, male stays on chain most all the time but female goes from chain to cage every couple of days to keep her light on her feet. more cage time when in heat.

Sandy is mainly a house dog. I take her out every two hours on a leash. On a nice day, I put her on a 30 ft. lead and take her to the park.

Due to the media and lawsuit happy people, I do not allow unattended neighborhood kids mess with her.

Krystal is a house dog (Doesn't like to go out for very long) I have a very heavy duty spade tie out that is about 18'' in the ground level with the ground so no tangles. It has a heavy duty swivel and attached to that a Stop Spring, 10ft of 3/8th chain and attached to that a 20ft 5/16th cable tie. Also good 5/16th cable connects. 30 ft to run and play, she's happy with this set up. Joel.

My girls are mainly house dogs, but when they are outside they run the yard. I have a 8ft privacy fence around the part of the yard they run.

One dog, stays in the house, crated while we are gone. In the fenced yard several times per day for exercise/potty. When I get to the point of having dogs that don't get along, I will crate and rotate, and seperate my yard into smaller dog runs.

I keep my bulldogs on a chain. Maybe someone will agree that it's something about that chain that adds a little something to their mentality. It seems that they have more drive when kept on a chain. Just my little input.

mines in the aptartment all day in his kennel. ill never let a dog run loose in a yard again it always ended the same way. over or under or through the fence. ive had a husky who jumped the fence to chase stuff. then we wired the top so he dug out and got taken. my last mutt would just pull the boards off the fence since she couldnt get to the top. she would get the bottom of one and just rip it off.

I have never in my life heard that nor will I agree with it. Nonsense........a chain is not a conditioner, trainer, nor anything similar.
