One of the things I love best about this site is you can say "Game" all you want and no one on this site sees it as a negative thing, it is to the contrary here - game is a good thing. Some of the other sites, and especially in my training forum the mere mention of "Game" brings all kind of negativity.

I find this comical because the trait of game is not good or bad, it just is. From what I can ascertain people confuse "Game" with how historically a dog was tested for the trait. So theoretically one could have a very "game" dog that lives his whole life as a pet bull and you would never know it because it is illegal to test for it. I'm not saying this is likely - I just say this to illistrate my pet peeve of folks getting there shorts in a knot over the term game when it comes to an APBT. Game is the primary trait of a well bred APBT...and I love being able to talk about here.....

No, you don't need to go to another one. I've been to a few & they were all sugar 'n spice 'n everything nice. I about wanted to gag. And heaven forbid if you even mentioned the breed's heritage or the word gameness. The fairy candy sweet unicorn horde would swarm on you in a minute.

amen, if i had points to give u would have just got them. lot's of fools on here claiming to be dogmen. most are just imposters, repeating what they have read and learned right here. and if you have an opinion that differs from there's whoa unto you. there real game behind that keyboard, but in real life there just curs. don't let them run you off though. because there is a lot to be learned here, and there are a few good people hanging around. keep your head up.

OMG ABK you read my mind. That happened to me about a month ago on another site. Some one said thay had a Colby dog. All I said was damn that is a nice dog from game bred lines.

I swear they acted like I was killed some one. They choose to ignore the history of this dog. Like it is an immortal sin to acknowledge the history of this breed. Thank God I found this site. And thanks to the people on here I have learned alot! :)

Gotta agree that this site is habit-forming! I automatically check it out as soon as I go online, several times a day. Gotta see what's going on! I've even got the husband asking me what's happening on game-dog today.:)

explain. You do understand there is a vast difference in Pet and working owners. We can't agree on every thing. let me tell you this I am shocked many times at what pet people have to say. We hash it out and come to an agreement if possible. Some times we can't. That is life. You will have that with every part of your life. If you just quit and give up every time you will never gain a thing. Even I will listen to a pet person. I may not agree but I will hear them out. I will give my oppinion in return. I suppose if you can't handle the two sides of every coin it is best you cur and give up and go to the pet and rescue only boards and save you and us the trouble of further arguements..

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>I will offer you this, then. it's a passage from a book I am currently reading:

"Teachers and books have their value, and sources of guidance and inspiration may enter your life in different forms. So, listen well to those who speak from experience, and embrace wisdom where you find it, but always weigh external guidance against the wisdom of your own heart".

...you do what YOU feel you should.
Game-Dog, imo, is here to help satisfy the quench for thirst regarding knowledge of the APBT. If you're not feeling satisfied here, then you do need to make some decisions.

I hope it is to continue to want to educate yourself here, but you decide. ;)
