A rope? That's definetely not safe. A rope can easily be chewed through. Get rid of the rope, and get your self chain, lap links, swivel, axle, and o ring. You'll be set.

Try some 1/2" chain for adult dogs, 3/8" or 5/16" for pups . This should remedy your problem.

I'm sure ya reversed what ya meant to say. Otherwise ya would have bigger chain on pups that adults..lol

“Try some 1/2" chain for adult dogs, 3/8" or 5/16" for pups .”
Why do you feel the need to use such heavy chains?

I don't feel they are too heavy. A lot of dogs hit the end of their chaind pretty hard, These will ensure their safety, and the safety of other dogs on the yard. What size do you suppose a person should be using?

Carpet and or slat mill instructions. Also - someone said that Fully Bully Magazine had an article in their most recent issue on how to convert a human treadmill so that a dog can easily use it. If anyone has that (or a similar) article, I'd love to read it. I don't need it, but how to make a proper spring pole would probably be nice for many. I've got an idea of how I want to do mine, but until I build it and try it and know it works, I don't want to post instructions.

The treadmill conversion as well as proper springpole construction are both explained in E.F's The Complete Gamedog.

Sorry for the mistake, folks. I meant, 1/4" for pups, 3/8" or 5/16" for adults.
