    Wow -

After just placing my step father in a home, it is truely a wonderful thing to see the light in these folks eyes when they see a magnificent animal....it is hard to see these folks on a regular basis as you watch that fire in their eyes dying out.

Great job...god bless you and your wonderful pup!!!!!!

where is your stepdad? patch o pits visits in southern nj , maybe if she knew what home your stepdad was in she or some other members could bring their pitbulls that do therapy to visit....

they get so excited when the dogs come in.. most of them dont get any visitors, which is doubly sad.

ps- you could also bring your own dogs.... one of the residents at this home has her daughter bring her 3 goldens... and they are not certified..

MaryEllen, would you like to do me & my dogs a favor? Could you please send these pictures to www.WAFB.com ? If the new law passes, my dog Sukari & countless other certified therapy dogs that just so happen to be "pit bulls" will no longer be allowed to continue in this line of work. We are currently bombarding all the new stations (www.WBRZ.com) with pictures right now. :)

Your work is much appreciated, and benefits the breed everytime you go out of your way to show the breed in it's actual light. If I've ever seen a thread that deserves 5 stars, this is among the top.

  8. Great post, great positive image. I enjoy all of the pictures that you show of old rufus at work. Thanks.

You truley are wonderful for these visits you do. Not just for us as lovers of the APBT, but also for seniors who are in desperate need of love and attention. Be blessed in every thing you do.

thank you everyone.. rufus loves to visit..
i did a year and a half of obedience with him 3 nights a week plus saturdays straight for the entire time,as my dog trainer said he would be a good therapy dog since he was so calm.. after training we took the cgc test, then the therapy test, and passed and started 3 years ago working in hospitals and nursing homes.

That is absolutly awsome. My Grandma spent the last few years of her life in a Nursing Home and seeing these people so happy is uplifting. Thank you for doing that! My daughter is 7lbs 5oz by the way. The thread on her was closed so sorry for talking about my child instead of my dog for once. Kinda pisses me off but fuck it. You cant make everyone happy...YIS, D.
