NOt to be a smartass but isn't it painfully obvious that Gotty and the rest of the crap was mixed? It really doesn't take a genetic scientist to figure that out. Dave Wilson, Baras, Mikeland, and their cronies know it and admitted it. In his quest for marketing something different than your average back yard pit, he mixed several combinations together to get the American Bully mutt. They tried to sale the "selective breeding" routine to the kids in CA but anyone that has been in this breed for any length of time knows that selective breeing will not totally change the shape and attitude of the dogs as well as triple the size in an "over night" period.
These guys were marketing genuises if you think about it even though they did the true APBT a huge disservice in the process. They created this "New Giant Bullydog" in which everyone in their brother in CA purchased for an average of $5,000+ a puppy for dogs that don't live long. Look at Juan Gotti. He was bred how many hundreds of times for thousands of dollars a piece. It was a chain reaction and now you have more bullies out there than real APBT's. Its sad but true. These dudes started clothing lines, websites, dog supplies, etc. off of these mutts. American Marketing at its finest. Are they to blame or are the thousands of idiots that supported the puppy milling to blame? Who knows.
Who's the bigger idiot?.....The person boxing up terds in a shiny box for free?.......or the person buying a shiny box of terds for $100?

I for one, don't mind the bully one bit. I used to not like them when I had'nt been around any and only had what I read on the internet. These dogs make good pets, and the owners love them and are very proud of them. That is what I like to see. As I have said over and over, the "gamedog" is not for everyone.

 

Now that looks like a ripped bully . Wonder if he won any prizes .

There owners refuse to stud him out even though theve had millions of offers. Hes just a pet to them.

 

I haven't been on this board in a long time and I guess I shouldn't be surprised that theres STILL Blue bashing going on.

I don't think anyone was bashing "blue" colored dogs. I have seen quite a few nice blue APBT's. The bullys have their purpose for those that like them, the only thing I have a problem with is labeling them APBT's when for one there is absolutely NO terrier in these dogs when you look at them, and most importantly I hate the health issues that come along with these dogs. A friend of mine paid $2,000 for an ADBA "Razor's Edge" bully pup. He brought it out to the park last spring to walk with us. He literally walked this dog who, was 85lbs at 9 months old, about 40 yards or so and the dog collapsed and would not get up. We had to carry this dog back to the car. The dog died that day. It was 60 degrees outside about 6:30 p.m.
