Sorrells Breeding I did today

She doesn't attach Bert's first name to her dogs, but gives credit by still calling it Sorrell's blood, which it is. And most of her breedings say "Pure Sorrell's" because that's the blood in it. And in the same hand, all breedings she does have her kennel's name on what's produced.

And GAPITS, you've just got a yard of GA pits.

True but still the foundation blood is Sorrells.

I guess those accidental litters you had can not be called Ironline, Ironline/Sorrells, or Ironline/Glancy then because you bred them.

However Jman I do agree that each person culls for their own reason.

Joanie was the main caretaker for years when her and Bert were together. Joanie also did most of the breedings before they split. That particular breeding should be called a Sorrells/Tatonka breeding.

I guess I'm old school and show breeders their respect by not putting my name on a dog unless I owned the dam at the time of the breeding. Until your name fills a 3 generation ped you are breeding someone else's dogs.

I made that statement because Tatonka has been breeding dogs for how long now? They are different from Berts.. sure they are still from sorrells, but they are HERS and her name appears on more than one generation. she can call them anything she wants.. along with anyone else for that matter. she's earned that..

as for the rest of your post, what I do has nothing to do with this thread. What your boyfriend did has nothing to do with this thread. Because Im sure we could sit here all night and bring up shit about both parties involved....

Looks good, hope they are all happy and healthy in a couple months.

As for what to call them? I would say Sorrells, that was Joanie's name. Depending on what pup you get form her yard there may not be "Tatonka" dogs filling the first 3 generations, there are plenty of Sorrells.

You can add to your previous post all you want. But you went out of your way to come on and corrected the blood of the breeding for what purpose? Sorrells is in the first 4 generations.

What does "my boyfriend" have to do with anything? You do not want to get personal. I brought up nothing personal about you. And we can leave it that way.

I brought up what you did because you called your dogs Ironline/Ironline crosses but under you reasoning about this breeding about bloodlines They would be your blood because you bred them not Ironline Kennels.

Bully It is not personal don't worry. ;) I do not see why it is in a debate what blood.

Please take whatever personal issues you have with each other to PM's. We have had our fair share of drama lately and I am sure no one needs to hear anymore for a while.

    Thank you.

    Bully, Marty, Colby.

I have no personal issues with her. I was replying to her posts that she wrote in this thread. Not the poster herself. It was a contradiction to what she was saying about bloodlines. Nothing more nothing less.

I apologize if my post seemed that way. But it was not intended to be that way. And I understand. Point noted :)

I never said they weren't sorrells .. I just feel that Tatonka herself took the line to the next level above and beyond what it was.. and that the credit belongs to her. To acheive so much, and the consistancy and caliber of dog that comes from her kennel is amazing.. dont you agree? Yes, they still are Sorrells dogs. Yes, the bloodline is still sorrells.. even hellen keller could see that. But are they the same as when she was with bert? I think she went a different route.. That is truely what I ment in the post .. sorry if you felt otherwise or that I was degradign the line, because I wasnt.

,. Isnt her registered kennel name Tatonka? therefor all dogs bred by her go under what name? Not sorrells.. but Tatonka.

So maybe it is contradicting. I thank you for pointing out my downfalls. One learns sometimes things arent always set in stone. I am not that close minded to learn new things or see things from a different perspective.

Looks like you've got the goods. When I new these Sorrells they were all one, living in fontuckey. I've been away from the dogs for some time and have some discrepencies in
some of the old records. I'm ok with what I have on red jerry but what are the rumors about Stu fowler. I know thats way back there, but I would like to know.

Mr. Boudreaux used to say the same thing about his dogs at one time, I think his saying was "the freshest water comes from THE SOURCE" or something along those lines.

they are sorrels dogs cause she still claims them to be the pure sorrells stud dogs
so nomatter they are still sorrels dogs in foundation

but I would rather get it from the originator cause he was the creator of that line of working dogs and wasnt just looking for the black n tan color to show up in the pups but hell what do I know

they have the foundation and it is a strong foundation good luck with your breeding
