well today i got a wild hair up my butt and i decided to email TOM GARNER here is how it went

Sir,

I am 26 and very deep into bulldogs I was born down in Newbern NC and
my uncle bred dogs in Greenville for a good while. I honestly just want
to come shake your hand and sit and get some stories and any tips that
you want to forever live in the bulldog world. If you grant me this i
would like to bring my buddy which is a guy very into bulldogs as well
please reply either way. I think i live right around the corner from you
i live on rock quarry road at the end of Jones sausage road.

Needless to say i'm very excited hell i think i peed a little lol if anyone has any ?'s or anything to get clarified let me know i plan on making a day of it and getting a picture with the man himself

 

OMG....really...maybe if your lucky he will even let let you buy a pup...

 

Regardless of what people say about him...I've talked to him several times about his dogs and all I can say is....he's very intelligent!

i haven't had one off his yard but i have had a garner heavy dog before! I went to iraq and had to sell him at about 13 months so i never got to C him

 

Very cool. I wouldn't mind meeting T.G. as well.

 

Personally, I would be a bit hesitant to meet anyone who lived on a "sausage" road, but hey, that is just me:p

 

lol they used to have the jessie jones food plant on that road (bologna,hotdogs,sausages and processed meats)

 

I know how ya feel, I got old man Clemmons phone # . I called him once. Went totaly blank . Felt like an idiot. lol.. I said sir I'm a huge fan of youres. I feel privlidged that you are willing to take the time to talk to me but I am so taken back with being on the phone with you that I can't think of a damn thing to say. lol I asked if it would be ok if I gave him a call when I had my witts about me. He laughed and said you can give me a call anytime youd like young man.

 

I have never spoken to Mr. Clemmons but I am sur it would go about the same way lol. What a honor it must have been.

 

An Honor it was. I still have his number. Still have permission to call. Still havent gotten myself to call the man back. lol I speek with one of his understudys Quite often. It's like talking to the old man himself. Evrything starts with "Jerry told me" or "Jerry always says"

 

TG seems like an intelligent, even tempered man with way too many top notch dogs. If you get a chance Tcarter, mention to him that M.H has said some bad things about him; curious to see what his response will be.

LoL I plain on buying a pup from Mr. Garner in the next few months and I'm still trying to figure out what exactly I'm going to say to him:p

 

Just be yourself, I'm sure he will

 

Dont waste your time with hear say BS, no need to bring drama to the mans house. Use your time wisely and take in what he has to say. Enjoy your time with him and leave certain things out of your convo, you do not want to come off like your digging for dirt.

 

be sure to have some extra batteries for the camera...and sum CAPRI sun for the drinks..lol
