Well make sure you call him after 9 so you don't waste his minutes with the nonsense on here.

I'm curious too to see which breeding she came from.

Once you win Mikes trust just be prepared to get the full story. For example, I once called him to ask about a heavy Barracuda bred pup. The story started in the mid 1960's, the Middle part was about everything about/behind the Red Boy dogs and at the end (2 hours later) we talked about Mayday/Barracuda and their decendents.

I teach college and my lectures are not nearly as detailed and informative. And he does this all off the top of his head.

    Titch,

My advice would be for you to stop renting space to me in your head. It is rather pathetic that you get so worked up over what someone says on a forum about dogs. I have a couple of well bred pups, but that is hardly something to brag about. Stop taking yourself (and more importantly my posts) so seriously. I know I don't.

I been seeing your post about inquiring on pups or breeding that are pretty expensive. But why don't you just buy a proven brood bitch and stick her to a proven male producer and get your pups outta that. Just something i was thinking about.

    Bulldog,

I am really just a lover of this breed and am not interested in winning anything and especially not interested in breaking any laws. Furthermore, I know for certain that if I tried to compete in the fast lane against experienced dog men that I would likely not be happy with the results. Although I love what is the essence of these dogs and have spent many thousands of hours researching history, peds, etc , I am probably just what many would call a "Petbull" owner.

While I have met some great people on this forum, and the moderators have also been great, it seems that many discussion tend to degenerate into name calling and personal attacks. I am sure that my, admittedly somewhat twisted sense of humor also probably strikes some people the wrong way. I have a quality the the German Sociologist Max Weber described as charisma/anti charisma: That means that some people love me and the rest hate me. I suppose I do have a gift for pissing people off, lol.

I am also noticing that I often spending time on the forum when I should be working. Thus I think I will chill for a while and just lurk and impose a few day or so ban on myself in terms of posting.

There is no illegal acts if you buy a proven dog. No different then going to the pound and rescuing a pit bull with scratches on it. I think if you did by a proven brood bitch it would save you alot of feed and alot of money and would be a better deal on your end.

While there may be no illegal actions that ever took place, and it really is not illegal to own a dog with scars, you can bet your butt that if AC ever comes knocking and you have an adult dog with scars they will probe and investigate, and cause you a great inconvience, especially if you own more than one dog.. At least with a dog from the pound you have the shelter's "Credibility" to back you up.

There is something called intent.. allthough it is hard to prove, they try every which way to make it stick.
