What Do U Guys Think Of This Female

Discussion in 'Dog Discussion' started by InFa-[BLUE]-BeAm, Jul 9, 2008.

  1. GOT THIS DOG OFF ANOTHER BOARD I GO ON. ITS A NICE DOG, BUT THIS IS BASICALLY WHAT ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE BREEDING FOR NOW A DAYS. I WANTED YOUR GUYS THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS ON THIS DOG. KEEP IN MIND THE PEOPLE PRODUCING DOGS LIKE THIS ARENT TRYING TO PRODUCE GAME DOGS.

not my style one bit. i like the little dogs...but not like this.
hope you have deep pockets for all the vet work, dogs like that tend to have short life spans and lots of problems

sorry- you asked for thoughts and opinions

You know, I'm wondering why you seem so interested in asking about how a game dog board feels about bully dogs and what do you think of this type posts.

You know the answer. It's an american bully that has some muscle definition, probably just got done running or however they work those dogs. Of course, it looks more defined than most, but that is what they are breeding for nowadays. I have a buddy of mine that got his first American bully and it has more muscle definition because he works it with one of his 'friendlier' game dogs. But, that AB can't hold a flame to his other dogs as far as running, spring pole, flirt pole etc. It can do those things, but no where near as intense.

Anyway, these dogs can look cool, big and muscular, but I have not seen one yet that possesses the high drive, intensity and willingness of a true to type apbt which is why I like this breed.

Not an APBT nor my cup of tea. Like stated above can see health problems with that type of dog. It's you're dog, it should not matter to you what others think anyhow. Feed it,breed it,love it, do what you want with it just don't call it an APBT.

I think it looks funny. To me, it is a "novelty" dog just like chihuahuas, etc. It is there to look cute and nothing more. Of course, that is exactly what it was bred for; looks.

I wouldn't own one because it lacks all of the traits that draws me to the APBT. That is the same reason I wouldn't own a chihuahua.

Pretty Bully but no different than any other dog bred for looks, in my opinion. A dog's heart is thousands of times more important to me than looks and I opt out of buying a dog that was bred in a fashion that did not take what really matters into consideration.

BECAUSE I LOOK AT GAME DOGS, AS TRUE APBTS. I VIEW THIS BOARD AS PEOPLE THAT LIKE THE TRUE APBT. WANTED YOUR GUYS THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS ON THE DOG BECAUSE THAT DOG IS THE PICTURE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THE BREED AND WHAT PEOPLE ARE BREEDING FOR TODAY. WHEN I FIRST GOT INTO THE APBT, THIS IS WHAT I WAS AROUND AND ALL I KNEW. AS I SEARCHED MORE AND MORE I BEGAN TO FIND OUT THAT ALOT OF THE DOGS ARE MIXED ETC. AND I LIKE THE TRUE APBT. I SEE ALOT OF NICE DOGS IN HERE BUT I DONT HAVE ROOM FOR ANYMORE

I think its a bear trapped in a dog's frame thats waiting to go to the vet for heart failure! Animals are just like humans and you have never heard being overweight to be healthy!

infa blue: You say you look at the gamebreed apbt as the true apbt, but on another post you say why do ppl want or have gamebreed apbt's.. Im really confused about you, if you like the bullies get you one and keep em, and if you the gamebreed apbt study then more and if you can handle a real bulldog get you one..

  9. i had a smaller little red female but i had to get rid of her because my female wouldnt get along with her. i just wanted to see if you guys pretty much thought these dogs were as silly as me. because on the other board i was first introduced to a nice game bred dog like i see many on here would get no love, and they think these dogs are the greatest things on the planet, when i and mostly you guys laff at them. did you see when i posted up the pic of that deformed dog? its like wtf are these people doing?!?!

Classic example of a chondrodysplastic dwarf. A "pure-bred" pit bull which carries the recessive trait. Once rarely seen (it occurs in many breeds), it is now being bred ON and has become very popular. It is also very dangerous because it IS recessive and can hide in a population, then appear unexpectedly. This dog could very well produce all normal pups, but every one of them will carry the trait.

It is a trait that is so at odds with any Standard that exists for the American Pit Bull Terrier that dogs that exhibit it might as well be a new breed.

Chondrodysplasia also carries internal, unseen problems as well.

I think that female should be spayed & loved for the great pet she could be.

    And BTW Dreamer, great post.

Oh & [BLUE], maybe you could nicely direct some of those bully dogs breeders here. Maybe they might be able to learn what a true, standard APBT is!

That can be true, Dreamer. I've noticed you stick by that 'dwarfism' statement. As much as I'm sure that is the case with some of these bully dogs, you cannot justify some of the XXL Blue bully dogs with excessive neck and jawl skin to dwarfism. Nor will it explain the extremely short muzzles. Dwarfism does not produce dogs with necks bigger than the dog's head. These traits do not come from apbt anywhere in the history, regardless of breeding dwarfs to dwarfs.

Like I said dwafirsm may explain some lines like Razor's Edge or Remyline but not XXL dogs like Muuglestone's, Ironline and Gotti.

I think that dog looks painful. Even if she isn't feeling it now, a body type like that isn't destined to age well. :(

  14. if you guys think that is bad you should see some of these other dogs. it looks like they have crossed them with french bulldogs even.

Because of how many times we've seen and heard the whole "blue" this and "blue" that, it's hard to see [BLUE] in your handle and take anything you say seriously. That being said, it seems you have your head on straight and that you're one of the few blue dog advocates that are taking things the community says seriously. Good to see you're coming around. Its "About Time".
