do you have any friend that is looking for a house dog for himself? he might try it out and you can see for yourself how this dog is if you know it good enough. just awhile back i was offered a (no papers) black razors edge american bully x bulldog and since the parents were on sight, i noticed that the supposed razors edge female had a very slim build, extremely obedient and held a mouthpiece. lets just say she wasnt fat like most bullis ive seen. my friend came along with me to check em out so he decided to choose one for himself. turned out a very patient dog around the family. amazing is not near the only way to describe her when it comes to commands. she was game though, no doubt about that.. never had a gamedog i could really keep around the family before because they were too highstrung on life. thats a dog i would. jmho

This gamebred/blue cross is happening more and more. This is a dangerous cross, as this is putting alot of potential wicked dogs into the hands of novice dog owners that have no idea what they are getting into. They think that they are getting the typical blue bully when they buy this pup. I predict this will be a bad black eye for the breed for many years to come. I wish there was some way we could stop this. Some of these Duma$$ bully breeders think that this cross will put fire into their big blue line, and then they are selling them to just anyone who in turn lets them run loose, ect. This is a very serious issue that has yet to come to a head.

And a lot of these bully idiots will still breed a human aggresive blue bully just for the color. Add game blood to that and then they sell to anyone willing to buy the pup. That's the kind of shit that fuels BSL.

Hella agree with dwd58.... That's going to result in more BSL laws down the road... These idiots need to stay away from dogs period..

Crossing apts to Bullies is wrong, but who says Bullies can't be bred to be human aggressive?

They aren't American Pit Bull Terriers, as long as they are represented for what they are the breeder can choose any temperament they want for their stock.

well there is no advantage for the apbt breeding it out like that, but some people breed the pitbull into their line to add that gameness, tenacity, skill, etc. just like a long time ago they bred it into the greyhound, then a couple breedings later, you couldnt see the pit in it at all really, but it did add advantages to the greyhound.

At this point their is no reason for Bully breeder's to cross the APBT into the American Bully it would be going against the purpose those dogs were created for. Yes people do it but fools do a lot of things doesn't make it right.

Like many say around here that dogs are private property so in theory based on this anyone can cross breed whatever they want because it's their dog :) as long as they don't call it a pit bull it's all good lol

Well I don't care what people do with their dogs per say but The ABKC has a standard for the American Bully and the responsible Bully Breeders breeding to the standard do not breed for HA or DA so it would be completely counterproductive to breed an American Bully Back to an APBT.

Welcome to the American Bully Kennel Club Official Website
The American Bully Kennel Club, or A.B.K.C. for short, is the official registry worldwide for the American Bully. The American Bully breed was created in 1990 and gained recognition and establishment in 2004, per the inception of the A.B.K.C. The American Bully breed has been selectively bred to give America’s breed a new direction and outlet. Like with the American Staffordshire Terrier, all the positive characteristics of the breed’s ancestry were kept like loyalty, stability with humans and other physical attributes; but traits of dog aggression and gameness were bred out of the breed because the breed had no future and purpose for those traits. What differentiates this breed from the American Staffordshire Terrier is the physical appearance. This breed is built with heavier bone structure and a “Bullier” build. A reinvented breed was formed with the purpose of being the ultimate companion breed, and this breed is the “American Bully.”

This was taken directly from the ABKC website so if this is true there would be no reason to breed Human Aggressive Bullies Nor would there be any reason to cross a Bully into a game bred dog hence breeding away from traits such as gameness and dog aggression which the working APBT is known for.

i think this is bad because when people buy game dogs they no what to expect and are ready but if they think they are buying a blue bully they wont expect the outcome

Dats just it though. Soon as a bad event happens the general public who doesnt know any better will label the dog as being a "pitbull". Then its bad press time for true apbts.

But even if some backyard breeder doesn't call their cross bred mutt a pit bull, when an incident happens, if the dog resembles a pitbull in any way they will say it was a pit bull. Then the anti-pit bull people will use those incidents to put BSL in place. Pit bull type dogs are already banned in California in several cities. All the incidents i've heard of over here have been caused by pit bull mix dogs not game bred APBT.

the problem is the backyard breeder that doesnt give a shit about anything but profit..You take someone that is passionate about his or her dogs and doin the right thing with them its a different story. The APBT has been crossed with other breeds besides just the American Bully and it was done to better a certain Breed.Temperament starts with any breeder thats why the good ones cull.I am not saying any of this is right or wrong its a matter of opinion.

Well that's a whole different subject all together. But these Bully Breeder's claim they want credibility for calling their dogs what they are and want the dogs to be recognized as the American Bully and this is what they claim the dogs were bred for. So if this is in fact the case why would any bully breeder want to breed these dogs to a game dog or to an HA dog? These people need to make up their mind they can't have it both ways. How can you recognize a breed if it's not being bred to the standard in which it was intended for or crated for? These dogs were not bred to be working dogs so WTF would anyone cross a Bully that's bred for show and looks into a game bred dog. Makes no sense you don't see most Working APBT onwers trying to breed our dogs to Amstaff's. Or AKC Amstaff owner's trying to breed their Amstaff's to Game dogs it's counterproductive for all breeds involved.

The mixing is probably from them coming to the realization that the science experiment of a breed that they own done gone bad a long time ago. There ain't no way to fix that mess. Some bully owners speak of "Gotti Fire", as if a large incorrect dog panting and growling means something other than it dying of heat stroke. I'm glad there's people that still know better.
