The magic of underground music is that its raw. I'm not going to complain about studio quality, or voices being too loud - because that is honest shit right there. It is something that happens when you gotta compromise on your equipment and are just making music for a love of beats and a passion for the mic.

I used to be big into the underground scene around where I live, and was actually really big into online promotion of underground artists. I was (still am? I don't have time to be active there really lately) a mod on the Wicked Shit forums, which is all about love for our homies out doing it from the streets.

Advocate has good advice, but at the same time I say remember where the heart of this is - its all about the fire inside you. I've heard demos where the sound quality is so awful but it doesn't matter because the hook you are hearing is so damn tight you know the guys making it are special.

As far as haters and critics go? Remember what the great Copywrite said - "Those who can't do, review."

 

srry man...I feel hes not a good representive of an H-town music. Aside from his allegations of being a molester. Hes was a great producer. SPM is really not on the scene anymore like he used to .

Hes jammin tho, jus not my cup of drank..
