I have personally used both.........and have stuck with Nutro, but I think it depends on what you are trying to achieve. I mainly stuck with nutro because I have one that has sever allergies. And since the switch, we are allergy free.

Eukanuba sucks.Honestly! If you want to feed your dogs a quality food that they will benefit from,it is not Eukanuba or Iams. They do not use quality ingredients in their food as they say.

I go with Nutro, my dogs seemed to beef up on eukanuba, but with Nutro they stay cut, very shiny coats, and it seems like its ingredients are better. Personally i've seen alot of large breed dogs fed Eukanuba, so I don't know if that means anything.

    rocksteady I'll drink to that..

If your gonna spend the money on Nutro or Eukanuba, you might was well spend a few more dollars and go with Canidae, Chicken Soup or similiar brand.

Tried Nutro..didnt care for it at all.. personally I had better results with Diamond.. Eukanuba, never used it ..not all its crakced up to be

Royal Canin is what I have been feeding my red nose female. Every Saturday and Sunday we give her 1/2 a can of canned dog food and mix in a little of the kibble. She is between 64 and 68 pounds, has the run of our back yard when we are there to watch her. Back yard is about 40,000 sq ft, so she has a good chance to run and play. I use the back yard to tire her out before I take her running with me. If not she beats my 54 year old ass in the ground.

Nutro, seems to be the "brand of choice", and the line has a lot to offer. I too have heard that Diamond is an awesome feed.

I had used Nutro and wasn't really impressed. Too many loose stools. I have never tried Eukanuba/Iams as they are supporters of PeTA and P&G, who test their products on animals. Have any of ya'll heard of Intimidator? I know a couple of folks using this food and they are extremely pleased. I was just wanting to know more about that brand.

Between the 2 I would go with Nutro also.....but I would not feed either of them for that $$ and that quality! Pay a little more a go with Canidae!

Canidae is also my personal choice, especially for older dogs or dogs that are in training for an event. My dogs have smaller firmer stools and seem to stay in better condition on it.

As for older dogs specifically, I see where Canidae has specifically come out with an older dog version, but I haven't seen any reason to try that yet.
