nothing is wrong with wanting it all...but amount of mouth depends on the individual dog....location is an overwhelming factor in determining hard mouthed or not...if one resides in the chest/shoulder area it takes a ton of mouth to stop a game one...the stifle/dick area does not require the amount of mouth the shoulders/chest does....and busting one between the eyes/face requires very little mouth but the effects are the same...and if he is an ear sucker/rider, well he better get two loads of mouth or be there all night....
if a game one can't bust an egg but consistently applies pressure to the face....he has an excellent chance to win....if that same one goes to the chest without the mouth necessary to do the job...well he/she is a game plug....well worth breeding to by someone who works the line...or by you if you got that bonecrusher already...
some consider deciding location as ability, sort of "iffy" on that....i was always taught to look for gameness....enough mouth....and the desire to finish...s

LOL! Let me hear these bite techniques. I gotta learn this and after you teach me how its done can you post some peds of some Ch.'s and Gr.Ch.'s you've owned. This should be good.

Actually you will even lose skill the longer it goes but skill will always last longer then the strength of their mouth.

skill all day. mouth is a very hard trait to pass consistently, so if you breed for gameness and skill and just let the mouth come when you do get one with mouth you will have a complete dog and really have something special.

Intelligence....................what if he is inteligent enough to know he is not good enough. He can talk his way out of it. :D

ALL B.S. Aside it has to have the complete well rounded temperament. Every action has a RE-action.

    SKILL is more important IMO.

Just like in humans. (Not humans biting people wise.) But human power/strength.

A fat guy with lots of fighting skills

    against

a guy who is practically "all muscle", same weight, but the guy has no fighting skills.

I'd have my money on the fat guy with skills and the dog with medium bite and lots of skills

I guess it would be alot like the Kimbo Slice vs Roy "Big Country" Nelson match from this season of the ultimate fighter, Kimbo is in better shape and has knock out power (mouth), Roy on the other hand is not in shape but has alot of experience (skill), Roy won the match because of skill not devastating power...;)

Roy just has a big Gut but as far as being in shape he is way better conditioned than kimbo

to think people actually feel the need to discuss topics like this on the very open internet just blows me away.

no paranoia here. im just the guy who sits here and saves people from themselves. there is an old saying- "give em enough rope, and they will hang themselves".

carry on, they are watching and taking it all in.

I'm with Wardog on this one! Mouth will eventually soften up over time. Thats just like saying that a boxer still has the same hitting power in the top of the 12th that he had in the beginning rounds. Not possible. IMHO
