was this dog an "excitment" bitter? thats how the story makes it seem, im guessing he was put down because he was a bitter outside of the pit?

Oh hell no, he was no excitement biter, and he was a GOOD dawg...he was just a dominant dog....large and in charge until he came up against one handler........any guesses

  10. :DI've never had to use the ol' Bobby Hall Shovel Technique, but I did have a catch weight sized dog(Big GameBoy) that TRIED to challenge my alpha status. I just grabbed him by his mouth and neck, and placed him on his back for a few seconds. After that, we were back to being best buds. Come to think of it, I've had a few human friends that need to be done the same way, with similar results. Lol

My view is that most of the time thats the reason... the other part being medical reasons, temperment issues etc. i really think are really quite rare.

I see that's why people hire Cesar Millian so much because they can't handle their dogs dominace and the agression that their dddoing tring to become hire in the pack

Cesar basically steps in and takes the alpha role from the dog. that why the first thing that you will see is him just watching the dog and the owner interact, generally the dogs will try to assert themselves on him and he will stop them but doesnt do anything more than that. once he has determined that dogs "triggers" then he starts to systematically go through and break the dogs down through each scenario. if the dog doesnt like walks he takes them for walks, if the dog doesnt like the kitchen he takes them to the kitchen. he basically forces the dog to give up the alpha status and in so doing he becomes the alpha. once the dog is out of that "top dog" mindset the owners can come in and slide right into that role. The dogs will only fight back when they are in the alpha status so once Ceasar takes over they go into what he calls a "calm, submissive" state. its just the owners job to keep them there.

people hire cesar because he is REALLY good at reading dogs and taking that alpha status, and setting up situational ways for the owners to attain and maintain thier pack leader role. its pretty cool to see but to someone that knows dogs its not quite as magical as it is to someone that doesnt fully understand what they are seeing... but it is really cool to watch him do his thing, he is talented for sure.

Yeah Cesar is a miracle maker but liek are the owners just to afraid to dominace or is it something else?

I dont think they are afraid, they just dont know how. people think that owning dogs is as simple as food, water, vet, play, and clean up... they dont understand that there is a lot going on behind those eyes. in small dogs that leads to bossy ankle biters, which people think its so cute when a chihuahua or a rat terrier acts tought, but that same mentality in a 50-60 pound dog and up is VERY dangerous. once the dog has control its difficult to take it back if you dont know how... and in some cases its dangerous. you will see people on there that cant brush thier dogs because the dog will bite them, or the dog bite thier hands when it get mad or excited, etc. That can lead to fear, all it takes is for the dog to growl or to stiffen and stare at them for them to back down, and its too late the dog knows that by stnading its ground it can win.
Ceasar trains people... in "rich-dummy" terms... its like dog ownership for dummys, lol. very simplistic, very straight forward and in a way that they should be able to be successful once he is out of the picture all together.

PROPS ARE GIVEN AGAIN!!!! You put it in a very simplified way that I can now understand lol are you a dog trainer of some sort?

No im not a trainer, I am not certified, but i am an apprentice... I have studied dogs since i was 14 and have worked closely with a certified trainer. I am still green considering how much he knows and has experienced but i am like a sponge. I dont like to take any one persons word on anything though, so i spend a lot of time researching and talking with trainers and breeders from all over the place, plus books, plus message boards, plus magazines, etc. I love dogs, lol.
