Game-Dog.com ? Can some1 help me

Hey all.

I just discovered this site, and wanted to check it out - And also was looking for a fora where i could be able to disguss my PBT without any people coming and say "WOOOT, you got a pit??" yeah.. cause they are illegal in Denmark where i live. :'(..

But first of all. What is this site for? As the name "Game-Dog" isnt that another word for "fighting dog" ? Or? Are you guys against the fight or for it?

Another question is that, i got a 18 weeks old PBT (4½ month), and she has something brown at her stomach. From her "pussy" and 5 inchs up against her stomach. It looks like dry skin or something. I've asked several other mates that have had PBT and Amstaff's, they say its regular, no problem. But im getting worried, more and more. Please tell me if you don't understand. My english isnt 100% well :').

The site is called game-dog. This site in no way promotes or incourages anything illegal such as dog fighting. The name of the site is just to preserve the history of the breed. I don't know what's wrong with your dog if your that worried, then I would take her to the vet to be sure. Hope this help.

 

I dont really know what "brown, dry skin" what ever it is but if you think its dry skin you might should put some utter butter stuff on it you know the stuff they use for cows tits and maybe that might help. you can get it at your grocery store in most places here in the states anyway. I hope you can use this information and hope it works!!!

 

I have tryed to put something on it, and it helped a bit, but it is still there..

nuthing will happen if he doesnt get caught lol but if he does dirt nap for the pup unless hes able to pass it off as a mutt now as for the "dry skin" post a picture

 

It sounds like that shit they get on there bellies from playin in dirt i dont know how to discribe it but its not a big deal if its what i think it is.

 

They are not illegal in Denmark, or are they? A commitee have recommended the government to ban 14 breeds, They did´nt have to do that if they where already illegal?

And.. it worries me you have a "PBT". I´m not sure what that is but if it has anything to do with pit bulls you should not have it. Not to be impolite but you don´t seem to have elementary knowledge about these dogs. They are not toys since they are already endangered and should only be owned by people who don´t have basic knowledge about the breed, or the breeds in your case.

Since you already have the dog, take good care of it. And remember; no pups from that dog!

I have to say this.
If not the exploatation stops we will have a ban everywhere. APBT is not a dog for everyone. Don´t breed APBT if there are not very very good reasons. Most of the dogs should not have pups and most of the "dog people" have no reason to have an APBT.

Stop the popularisation!

If not, a ban perhaps is not an all bad thing, you know. There are many people who owns the breed who are not all negative about a pitbull ban. Some, many, thinks it could save the breed from the overproduction. The overproduction and popularisation are the roots of all evil when it comes to the "pb problem".

Don´t be so liberal when it comes to breeding. Not to talk about selling pups... APBT´s are not for everyone, they are not supposed to be bred by the average owner. A forum like this have a responsibility not to support the exploatation withn ads and stuff. The exploatation and popularisation must stop. If not, I can see a ban as something with positive sides, depending on what kind of ban it is. The real APBT will survive somehow.
Something must be done about the degeneration of the breed. The owners themselves who breeds the dogs just for pups to sell are responsible for the situation.
That is the cold truth.

 

I kinda feel the same way if they did ban the breed the people who should have them would still have them as those same people are the ones who are keepin the breed the way it is suppose ta be anyways.

 

they are really banned in denmark... we had the same problem here in holland but fortunately the ban was stopped in 2008 because the government noticed that the bite incident remained the same in 15 years and so they legalized all dogs that were banned.

and one other thing that makes me mad is that here in holland the government thinks that an Amstaff and bully are also APBT's thats why the ban came in 1993 because an Amstaff (without papers) killed a little girl and so they came up with the brilliant idea to make the pitbull illegal :mad: because they think that APBT are dangerous fot people! :dogkiss:

as for the breeding, there will also be backyard breeders that wanna make money and just sell pups to people that lay down cash so i don't think there is stopping in that.

Well, i know that i should had way more knowledge about dogs, and especially the pit before i should be the proud owner of a pit.

But, i got her now - And i've used ALOT of time researching this particular dog. And im getting amazed everytime i research more. But, ive learned alot. And i really want to give this beauty the best life ever, therefor i am HERE. I really want this to happen.
Well, it's a problem they are illegal in Denmark. But when Amstaff isn't. And ppl often confuse pits to be a amstaff. And the police are more into the dogs that has cutted ears - from distance ofc. And she wont be taken away.

They will make it a law, that if the law with 14 breeds will be illegal, then all the listed dogs will be sterilized, should wear mouthlock and be carried in a leash.

I can understand the sterilize and leash. but mouthlock? cmon..

But dont judge me - I want the best for my dog.

ANother thing ive discovered is that she has a tooth that is kind of "yellow" and then its loose and moveable.. Is this happening because she is changed teeths? She is 4½ month old.

 

why did you even get the dog when they are illegal in Denmark... thats not responsible IMO , what are you gonna do if someone calls the police and says "that guy has a pitbull!" GAME OVER

Because they can't tell different from amstaff and pitbull - and as told above i think its the most beautiful dog, i like the history behind and always wanted a pit bull. Thats why. And i know several others that has Pitbull or Amstaff, so been with those alot.
And i want to be one of those that are able to proof those haters wrong here in DK. And atm. it is going well imo and in opionions of others. I just doesnt stop researching, cause i want to know it all. So why this rude against me. Cant you take it positively and give usable feedback. The factor is that i got this gorgoues dog now, and i want the best for her - and im here for research and help to do this in the best attention.
