    You can get Dogs of Velvet and Steel in mint condition from Bob for around 60$. The neat part of is they are the books the Feds seized. So you also get a small bit of historic memorabilia.

    Because I have found Ed's book more useful than Jack's. But, perhaps that is because I bought Ed's a long time ago and Jack's relatively recently, who knows. Jack's book is probably great for people just getting started in dogs.

    seems most of the good ones are covered....

    a non dog related book, that i think is excellent for some philosphy and perspective; that goes hand in hand with selection

    i've almost completed reading the Hammonds book and got to say i'm very impressed. imformative, well written, great stories. only good things at least.

    and it's not out of print or overpriced like many sites have it. just get it from the man himself.

    also, dogs of velvet and steel i think is a great all round book about the breed. it even has basics of genetics and stuff like how to read a pedigree etc which are missing from todays picture books that go round.

    still though havent read farons book. expecting copy...
