it never ends!

well,here's a tale that everyone know's so well,my brother's friend is into pit bull's and so i have tried to straighten him out on thing's which ends up with me almost in a rage,the kid has his heart in the right place but just doesn't listen,he has one apbt already,which is a good dog,but now he's into the razor's edge crap and ive tried telling him they aren't pit bull's but he doesn't listen,it's like im hitting a brick wall at 90. tried to show him,but nope im wrong,the guy that's been into the dog's for year's seem's to be wrong on everything these day's,i guess im turning into an old fart at a young age,no one believe's what the old fart tell's ya til it's too late,,,just had to rant

 

the old farts are actually the ones ill listen too! lol

cant teach someone who doesnt want to learn bro. its frusterating but better not to dwell on it. if he's fine with being an idiot than let him b one lol, no sweat off your back.

shit maybe invite him to the site? we can school em up ill bet!

 

Don't lose hope. When I first started liking the dogs back in 99' I liked those pigs too. I thought they were cool and tougher cause they were bigger and all that crap. Then I started liking the blue ones. I didn't really start getting into game dogs until '08 and I finally see what a real bulldog is and how worthless those oversized out of proportion out of shape things are and I honestly feel sorry for the animals themselves cause it's not their fault but they're doomed from birth. But it took a while for me to see so there could be hope yet. Seems like the older you get the more you wish you would have listened to the old farts.

 

i tried to get him to come on the site, but i dont think he's going to come on,he's too busy with the pet bull and RE site's.maybe he will listen one day,im going to convine him to hit up a show in the near future to see what real dog's are,but what i find messed up,he's had a couple real apbt's and still has one but is getting to be all about the RE dogs and their look's

 

i feel you . im typing on PBC trying to explain to the people there that an apbt isnt a ambully or an amstaff and that they are different breeds and they will not listen and think they are the same thing WTF

I know a couple people that are into bullies. I honestly don't mind because everybody cannot be as serious and into the dogs as you are. I tried to talk to a couple of my friends about getting into real pits but as i was wasting breath, I realized that majority of these people are not meant to have real dogs. They don't have the desire, and just want pets that look cool. They don't know nada about a performance animal and wouldn't care to learn cuz its just not their cup of tea.

I rather them own bullies and enjoy those dogs then to have them waste a good dog that could've went to someone who knows what they are doing.

 

I have the same problem, with my brother in law. I gave him a 9 month old female cause he wanted an apbt. She's a small bitch, a little scatterbred, but acts right. And all he want's to talk about is his friends dogs from chaos kennels, big blue mutts. He won't listen either. I want to smack him and take the bitch back. lol. The only problem is my niece and the dog I gave him are partners in crime. lol.

 

i never said they were not intelligent at all. I can not make that call as i do not know them.

 

At this rate, this is never going to end along with why we even have bsl in the in first place.
I have had more then my share of people who want to believe what they would want to believe and will just not take another word unless you agree to all they have to say. In the ambully world, us real apbt owners are just either one of two things: one we own skinny "old school" pit bulls, and two we need to face reality and realize that their "type" of "pit bull" is the "new" era of "pit bulls". So if you don't agree to either or both then all you are going to do is continually run yourself against that brick wall.

 

No need to trip. People will find their way sooner or later. I got no problem with non game pitbulls such as the Blues. I just have a problem with them breeding for size, color, head size, etc. The crap they are turning out is ridiculous. I almost gave up game dogs to get into blues and put proper pitbulls back on the map with proper drive and confirmation, athleticism etc. But its too much of an uphill battle

 

I'm confused, there are blue game dogs...

 

Sadly but true there really are nongame pitbulls, they're called curs and people are actually breeding these things and recreating these worthless curs. WHY?

 

All breeds have people who breed dogs that possess undesirable traits.

 

I'm having the same problem with my cousins boyfriend. His brother bred his big blue pit and so my cousins boyfriend wants me to buy one, I'll get a good deal. I explained to him that my next dog is going to be a pure bred APBT from a reputable breeder, not a Bully. Damn he got pissed. This fine blue specimen is apparently from champion lines, but he doesn't have a pedigree. So he tells me you don't need a paper to see he's a champ. Then he says I'm not allowed to get a pup from him now. Darn! :rolleyes:
