Georgias laws are terrible outright prejudice

Alright I live in Floyd County Georgia. Animal Control has been out 2 times this week because my great neighbor is prejudice against the Pit breed! The disturbing problem is the Animal Control officer's are just as prejudice. First time (monday) they were called out because we keep our Blue male inside he is a house dog but I have my Jeep male in my fence in the backyard so I have a chain in the front to put him on to use the bathroom. The officer informed me that he had complaints that the dog was on the viscious list so i could not put him there since it was out of the fence even though it was just to use the bathroom with me outside doing some yard work! Then today they come back out because that same "great neighbor" saw my wife walking him on his leash in our front yard to use the bathroom since we was told we could not put him on a chain she was using the leash, well we got a warning that he had to have a muzzle on in our front yard?!? WTF he also let her know next time its a $300 fine. I do not UNDERSTAND I own my property we bother no one , the neighbor is new to our road but how can they make you muzzle your pet to walk on leash in your on front yard? Please HELP me im lost and im pissed off and tired of all these bullshit laws on just the PitBull breed.

he is on this viscous list because floyd county decided to adopt the Vicious Animal Ordinance and the only dog on it is Pit's and Pit mixes. its bullshit the neighbor dont work and he owns a english bulldog which in my opinion is a bitch dog but anyways his dogs name is Hannible lol the human eater. Im not getting rid of my dogs for this piece of shit neighbor but i am gonna get even with him

to be honest the first thing that came to my mind was to put up a kennel right next to there fence and put my Jeep boy in it but if they poisoned him i will kill the mothefucker. My Jeep dog Cleatus is game as fuck and they are really terrified of him but I didnt want it to come to this because i mind my own buisness and have never called the law or animal control to no one or never will but I swear to god I wished there dog would get out and wonder in my yard i would let him meet old Cleatus

 

he is not dangerous dont bark just game , im saying if his dog came into my yard then and approached one of my males then he would have wished he kept his piggy in the stable . i just cannot stand people that condemn pits just because of the name and also nosey neighbors

does he have dogs? call the ac on his ass and keep making false complaints hes harassing you get an order of protection on him first so it looks like hes in the wrong no matter what. there alot of things you can do some legal some not but whatever you do dont whoop his ass youll just get locked up and lose ur dogs in the process.

i also think you dont know what the hell you are talking about. just because your dog flaps his gums and bows up doesnt make him " game"- its called "posturing" or being "fight crazy". "gameness" is another story altogether, and best not discussed on the INTERNET.
sadly, you live in GA and that is probably one of the worst places to live with bulldogs these days. i dont see this ending well whatsoever

 

How did they deem your dog to be viscous? Did AC come out an evaluate your dog?

At this point the law is the law. You need to comply with it as long as you live in town. If can't do that...then you need to move your yard to the country.

What you think about others pets don't mean anything. What you need to worry about is making nice, puting your niebors at ease. Being responsible and propperly securing your animals.

 

call the cops and tell them you think he touches the local kids and that should sort him out.

 

I live in Georgia also and the way to win this is not to fight that way. If you are having issues with animal control ordinances, the first thing to do is have some type of representation for people with the dogs on the list to oppose these types of ordinances.

However, do not oppose anything unless you can be responsible with you own animals. If the law is in place, follow it. Your dogs can and will be taken from you if you decide to ignore the law. If you are unhappy with the laws in your area, make moves to change them or MOVE, but do not just break them.

Getting "even" with your neighbor will surely end badly and more than likely will end with the removal of your dogs and euthanasia for them. Regardless of how "prejudice" and animal control officer or a neighbor is, there are still written laws that they have to follow. As long as you are within those guidelines there should never be a problem. If you are worried about your neighbor poisoning your dog, make moves to prevent that up to and including keeping him indoors until you feel your property is secured.

NOTE: if you have a copy of this vicious dog ordinance please supply it so everyone can give better direction on handling the situation. The only ordinance for that I have found I am posting below, and it does not specify any breeds.

SECTION 2-5-20: VICIOUS ANIMALS
THE OWNER OF ANY VICIOUS ANIMAL WHICH IS NOT CONFINED IN A BUILDING OR SECURE ENCLOSURE OR ANY PERSON WHO SHALL RELEASE EITHER WILLFULLY OR THROUGH A FAILURE TO EXERCISE DUE CARE OF CONTROL OR TAKES SUCH ANIMAL OUT OF SUCH BUILDING OR SECURE ENCLOSURE IN SUCH A MANNER WHICH IS LILELY TO CAUSE INJURE TO ANOTHER PERSON SHALL BE IN VIOLATION OF THIS CHAPTER, AND SAID ANIMAL SHALL BE PERMANENTLY CONFINED OR HUMANELY DESTROYED.

there are a million things to do to someone like this but this is not the place to discuss it, my previous post was a joke, obviously, but i think any real revenge tactic puts you or your dogs in hot water.

but muzzling on your own property with your own dog....hmmm sounds like pure rubbish I mean, there must be another chapter to this under my perspective. I would take the advice given as well, you shouldn't be exploiting such information on a public forum but if your considering to take matters into your own hands, and by that I mean to do some serious damage to this person you aren't considering the loss of yourself or dogs in the process since obviously the favor is already with authorities and anything violent you engage with will only be worse on your behalf.
